  1. isnt the problem is that theres no definitive leader? Theres no leadership at all, and now the issue is that there needs to be 4? No! Tavarez needs to be vocal and hold team mates accountable. You dont have that C on your chest for deco!. The players dont know their roles…

  2. Matthews should be the Captain and JT & Reilly should have the ONLY A’s. The whole switching A’s thing is nonsense. JT should be the one to give the C to Matthews.

  3. Trade Johnson, Anderson for top 4 D men, powers forwards and a goalie then sign Mik for alot less and Robertson.

  4. Hello Mr Dubas This is Joe Sakic I'd like to inquire about The availability of Anderson……. CLICK!

  5. They have taken over the room, they got big contracts and play like they don't want to get hurt

  6. Listen, everyone on here talking about trade Marner is overreacting. For what.. so we can watch him put up over 90 points on another team? So we can cry about that later worst than we did the Kadri trade?? I believe Marner is not even close to reaching his ceiling. Plus Dubas already said that's not happening. So quiet that noise.

  7. I would say of the players mentioned Marner needs to do the most growing. To me he is way too complacent. He needs to push push push himself outside his comfort zone.He needs to be the TOP GUY on this team. Not Tavares. Not Matthews.Mitch Marner needs to be number one. Why?? Everyone expects Tavares and Matthews to be that guy but when you have a guy like Mitch take the lead thats when things truly change.I don’t know if he has it in him.I see glimpses here and there but he struggles getting it into another gear. You need that offseason commitment in the gym.Your body needs to be able to keep up with your will.
He has it in him more than any of the other Leafs forwards to absolutely dominate but it takes so much commitment and thats where he might fall short.

  8. Get rid of Dufas, new GM trade Nylander and Marner both have the peter pan syndrome they never what to grow up! There is only one way to win in the playoffs and that's WILL, its been that way from the start and will never change! The Leafs management needs to hire GM's that draft players as a team!! Not just take the most skilled guys. You only need two highly skilled forwards on a team, and two of the same on D, after that its will, size, and heart!! Also don't load your team will players that aren't big enough to get on the rides at wonderland, sure one or two are fine but that's it.

  9. until dubas is gone .. don't see the defensive overhaul coming that's needed to stop the first rd playoff losses ..

  10. What the Leafs need to do. 1.) find a netminder to move forward with as the future. 2.) Build a blueline of a solid 6 or 7 players. 3.) Create cap space by moving out some big money contracts to have a full team and roster and not just four contracts that eat up the cap space. 4.) Wait another 10 years of a rebuild because the team will need good luck. I don't know what GM could get us out of steps 1-3 with new major issues!

  11. Um….Sell the franchise to another City, Toronto is jinxed and will never win in this City, curse of ole Harold

  12. Team doesn’t hit, doesn’t get into the corners. Doesn’t hustle, it doesn’t work. Lots of skill no heart no balls

  13. the leafs need to get "Team Nasty" Stick up for one another, drop the gloxes , oh and introduce most of the team to the rink corners , Hyman exempted

  14. I don't see that happening with Nylander though! And there's a good chance Rielly could be dealt sometime soon, especially considering his contract is up soon and he's going to want big money & I don't think the Leafs re-sign him at big money!

  15. Matthews, Tavares, and Marner follow as 3rd, 5th, and 7th highest cap hits in the NHL. 3 players in the top 10 highest cap hits and can't even make it passed a play in round lol the rebuild failed, move on

  16. JT doesn’t fit this group, i have no idea who the hell hockey in the Leafs management group.
It clearly shows the quality round that he goes different direction.
Looks to me that Spezza more in the group than JT.
We already seen that when he was with Islander

  17. just imagine if Mark Hunter became the GM instead of Kyle Dumbass. then Mark probably builds the Leafs like he built the London Knights and then the Leafs are actually an extremely competitive team.

  18. Year after year we get our hopes up for this team just to be kicked in the nuts in the first round. Look at Vegas, if the Leafs had their success we'd be proud fans. Three years in the NHL and every year the Golden Knights compete….. An expansion team from three years ago!!!

  19. Dubas and his coach have to go . This isn't the marlies. Great skill forward core, but lacking grit and size, and defensive concepts. Sorry Kyle, it's true.

  20. They had good team 3 years ago they let all our grit players walk all the leafs needed then was another good rear end guys

  21. Thank you whoever made the statement that it's time to get these core guy's stepping out and taking the reins and lead by example. If Matthew's is the franchise player bring it, Magical Mitch Marner be magical and set those highlight reels on fire and so on. Until these player's step-up it won't matter who Kyle brings on board. Cheerz 🍻

  22. Fix the problem, problem is the flipping Defense for crap sakes. For years it's been brutal. Keep the #15 overall pick and if he's there grab Schneider and develop him properly.

  23. Eric's way explaining the importance of a captain shines bright in tampa. stamkos is probably the best team player of all time. period.
