UBS has a low roof as well…only 3 feet higher then the Coliseum
No love for Uncle Leo. Sad.
UBS Arena has a very low roof. Only like 3ft higher than the Coliseum. Add in about 3,000 more fans, the place will be really loud. They purposely designed it that way to make a very intimate atmosphere. It may even be louder than the Coli. Can’t wait to see a game there this season! LGI!
Boychuck is actually still with the Islanders, just in a different role. I see him working with Lou often.

Fun fact: UBS arena is designed purposely with lower ceilings to maintain the coliseum feel.
Nothing about returning Captain Anders Lee. Nothing about Zack Parise's late father being an Islander. As well, Matt Martin's father in law is former NFL QB, current host of WFAN's morning show, and die hard Rangers fan Boomer Esiason.
Matt Cullen also played in gretzky and McDavid's era's, retired now though obviously but he's one
Talking about the Islanders for that long without mentioning the engine of the team, one of the NHL best, Matt Barzal. That guy is like .. maybe the best nhl player at this point
Getting lee back is also huge, he missed most of the season and was on fire when he went down. So YeA I hate losing eberle and hate losing leddy even more, but at least eberle is replaced by palmieri and Lee is almost like a signing since he missed it all. He's rested now and got a lot of strength back, I think he's gonna get on a huge hot streak once the rink rust comes off
If you don't trade Toews, you lose him for nothing in the expansion draft.

I don't think the Islanders are going to top their division, but I've picked them to win the Cup this year.
They'll finish third or fourth in their division but go on to win the cup.
More fans in a building with a roof only 3 feet higher, more fans in the 100's then any other building, and it is Long Island, here we come!
In 18-19 they had the 5th most points in hockey
