Matt Murray gets first shot at it then if/when he stumbles, it’s Samsonov until he stumbles then back to Murray. It’s not rocket appliances.

My bet is they’ll ride the hot hand, wouldn’t be surprised to see each of them play strings of 3+ games at a time.
If I had to put money on it I’m taking Samsonov as the one who plays more games by the end of the season (even if Murray manages to stay healthy)

I have a good feeling about Samsonov. I think both will be better than what we had last season by a long shot
But I just feel Samsonov is gonna string some games early in the season together where he takes the position. Remember this guy was probably the highest touted goalie prospect at the time and was the reason Washington wasn’t worrying when Holtby was declining. I pray he reaches that potential with us than we can finally have our long term solution with Sammy also being so young.

Luckily we start with a b2b so they’ll split that right away and we’ll see them both right off that bat
