One more big ego for the dressing room wont help. Offense is not the problem. Leafs need a couple of physical wingers that play with grit and a top rated goaltender. ( not a better than average goaltender who is expected to raise his game during the playoffs)

A three way trade with Kane's contract would be interesting and really put a price on Cap Space and not a player's salary as his Cap hit is $10.5M, but he is only owed $2.9M (as his signing bonus of $4M would be paid). So if Chicago retains half (cap hit of $5.25M salary of $1.45M) and team B retains half of that, That team would only have a cap hit of $2.65M and pay Kane 725K (Same with TO or any other acquiring team) which is less than league min. Whatever that team gets would probably become the standard for taking on roughly $2.5M in cap space (or 3% of the Cap's ceiling) as the actual salary is insignificant to an NHL team.
