I'm a big fan of the stars. Because I live in Dallas, TX but I'm also a fan of, Seattle Kraken, Boston Bruins, Arizona Coyotes. I would think of some names if they did go to Houston. Houston Coyotes would be wierd and keep a part from there old team.or Houston Horns. Houston Seas? Oh, Coyotes Of Houston.
I would love to see the yotes stay in az but they have major issues as an organization. Really strange seeing this happen to a professional franchise.

Some teams are "takers". The franchises that do well pay into a slush fund and those that are 'below the line' get help. Why should teams help other cash strapped teams. The owners are billionaires aren't they? If they can't afford the losses then they shouldn't buy the team. If they can't improve things to the point where fans want to watch the games then move the team or sell the franchise to someone else. Have you ever wanted to slap the stupid out of someone but you realize you wouldn't stop because they have that much? Take care all.
The Gila River Arena is not renewing them after this season. What management is doing or not doing is one thing, but not being renewed after this season is what may force them to relocate. They don't have any other arenas to use for hockey. Their original home was not designed for hockey. It was built for basketball. All the changes they had to make for the Coyotes and hockey in general were terrible.
Houston Rockets owner Tilman Fertitta has, in the past, expressed interest in bringing a team to Houston. He even met with the league back in 2017. While the arena is not prepared for it, former owner didn't Les Alexander didn't want it in his arena unless he owned it. That is a road block. But considering Houston is the fourth biggest city in the United States, one has to wonder why there is no team there. Also, you should take into account that the Houston Aeros were one of the most successful teams in the WHA.
NHL wants to expand into areas where there isn't a hockey presence. The deep south would be such an area to expand. New Orleans for instance. If the Coyotes do move, Houston is a no brainer.

I mean… Arizona getting a team in the first place made zero sense and they've never been profitable or popular, they've lost anywhere from 5-25 million dollars per season for the past 15 years. So honestly having them relocate is probably in everyone's best interest even if it's kind of sad to see them go.

Gary Bettman is an embarrassment to the NHL. Arizona is HIS pet project instead of just reading the writing on the wall and moving the failed franchise out.
Arizona is such a bad place for NHL. people from there dont generally care enough to get involved in pro sports.

To be honest I thought take yotes would be better than last year but look at them there this year but they got locked out of there arena and last there were so good but this year there pretty bad the blues won them for the second game and the gourd won 7-4 so I don’t think the yotes could get playoffs and it sucks that they got locked out of there arena not saying it’s true tho
