  1. 6.5 mil for an undersized player with no playoff experience? Obvi he is an asset but not at first line prices. If asked for 3 Mil he would be on a cup contender every year, like Tyler Johnson.

  2. As a Devils fan thats a bad trade. Bratt is an upcoming elite player. This trade doesnt make us any better. Now if its the second + prospect + other young player not named bratt, hughes or hischer than maybe

  3. The Devils arent giving up Bratt. Maybe Boquist or nolan foote and the 2nd overall. But maybe another later pick coming back to them as well. The only reason Id say this is because Debrincat is an rfa next year.

  4. Open question….Would it make sense for the Habs to trade their #1 draft pick, for DeBrincat? I say Yes!

  5. Cat to the devils for 2OA, Holtz, and Boqvist. Or Cat for the 2OA, Gritsyuk, and Mercer.

  6. There is NOOOOOOO WAY the devils trade Nico, Jack, Bratt, Luke or Mercer. And I highly doubt we are dumb enough to trade Holtz but anyone else may be an option. Hopefully not Boqvist because he looked good at the end of the year, but he would be a good option sadly.

  7. So bratt is younger and only put up 5 less points and your saying they should give him and a lottery pick (slaf fits there team perfectly) + u said a prospect as well. Worse trade I have ever seen, (bratt and above average prospect is a fair deal)

  8. Sens need a top-6 winger for Stutzle and they have the assets to make this trade (7th overall, Ridly Greig, Erik Branstrom). Would be a much better-looking top 9 for the Sens after that deal:

    DeBrincat – Stützle – Batherson
    Tkachuk – Norris – Joseph
    Formenton – Pinto – Brown

  9. Funny thing about Mr Debrincat's 5'7"… see Mr Richard and 11 Stanley Cups, no helmet?

  10. If I were the Blackhawks I absolutely would not take Farabee, he’s having disc surgery done and while it’s possible he comes back as good as ever that’s still damaged goods on the trade market.

If anything I feel like Philadelphia might have to give up a guy like Farabee or even Tippett to move that awful JVR contract. They can spin him as a goal scorer all they want, as it stands he really has been more of a third line player and slowed way the hell down. His value as a free agent might be 3.5-4.25 based off whose offering it to him.

I don’t think that is an unfair price to pay for Debrincat but if you want a young player in return and a top prospect and a draft pick you really need to clarify that…because Nashville could turn around and say “hey here’s Trenin who scored nearly 20 goals and is younger than 24, here is our 2022 first round pick (Top 20), here is Svechkov our first rounder last year” and there is no way Chicago goes for it.

And if I am New Jersey and I offer you the second pick in the draft you can forget about that top prospect, you are getting the second pick in the draft to take whoever you want. I might give you a prospect but it won’t be a Holtz or Smith or Hughes you are gonna get like someone whose 22-23 and been playing for Utica and is ready to play now. Not sure about the young player either, maybe Andreas Johnsson.

Still think if Chicago was smart they would trade Kane and Toews and eat half of that salary, ask Buffalo for a first round pick and send them Kane for 5.25 M then call Winnipeg and see what they give you for a discounted Toews, could be a nice three team trade there where Boston gets Marky Mark, Winnipeg gets Toews for 5.25 M, Chicago gets a combo of picks and maybe takes a bad contract back, of course Boston has lost a lot of firsts recently but you can figure out something. Wouldn’t trade Dach though.

  11. hawks don't need defense prospects, they have defensive prospects coming out of their ears. also, farabee just had neck (disk replacement) surgery, no? none of the offers discussed/mentioned are enough to get the cat imo. the asking price is a high draft pick, a top (blue chip) prospect, a young roster player (former top prospect), and possibly more (picks/prospects)… for example, the devils will have to part with – #2, holtz, and either mercer/the brat/zacha, and probably another piece. it's going to be a haul that depletes/destroys the prospect pool of the team that is potentially trading for the cat. the hawks don't need to deal the cat. they can keep the cat (future captain) and kane together and still be bad enough to land bedard or a top 3 pick next season.

  12. I wouldn't let go of Bratt, a prospect and the pick. The only other team in this is Philly that can match what we bring and there seems to be a marked drop-off after the 4 spot. The Flyers would have to get rid of Vanriemsdyk before the draft in order to pull this off. Not saying they can't but each day that goes by makes it less likely. There are also a great deal of goal scorers on the block this off season which hurt Debrincat's value. I would offer the 2nd, and Ty Smith or Sharangovich. Throw in 10 Deep Dish pizzas and I'll throw in Zacha as well.

  13. Is straight swap for Turcotte and maybe a 4th rounder possible? As a Hawks fan this seems realistic to me..

  14. lego I'm sorry, but as a hawks fan I don't think they are going to trade DeBrincat because in an interview with Patrick Kane at the beginning of the year, Kane said he would play hockey as long as DeBrincat was playing because of how much fun Kane and Cat were having together. Even though Kane is in his thirties, Kane is still producing at an elite level and can give veteran advice to all the young players. I think the hawks want Kane to stay because Kane wants to stay and in order to do that they need to either get Panarin back or keep Debrincat.

  15. If Chicago asks for Bratt, 2 OA & Mukhamadullin NJ will call the Cops let alone if the Blackhawks ask for Bratt 😂😂😂

  16. I have ZERO interest in moving the second overall pick AND jesper bratt, AND Shak!!! No thank you, devils can put up goals, Holtz is a sniper moving up this year, I’d rather give up the Cap For Johnny hockey or SIGNIFICANTLY less for Kevin Fiala.

  17. Kinda meaningless what Lebrun said. Asking price means nothing…..trading price means everything.

  18. The Devils aren't trading the 2nd overall for player that will at least 8 million per year. That's insane

  19. Just gonna throw a bone out there…To CLB: Alex Debrincat / To CHI: CHI 1st (#6), Cole Sillinger, CLB 3rd 2023

  20. Gifted young players like DeBrincat and Hegel are hard enough to find so just dump them and hope you get lucky with whatever you get for them.
Sounds like a genius plan to me.

  21. Over all, they want a 3 for 1 deal. 1 high draft pick can become as good as DeBrincat, but when you add a young player they'd expect someone nearly as good and a top prospect still someone that shows that they can make it to the NHL next year and probably be as good. To be honest, I wouldn't give a draft pick if I give 2 players that are good. Why get rid of them if they can have players that talented playing for their teams? 1 player doesn't win you cups, takes a whole team and you're getting rid of 3 to get one that will be expensive in the long run.

I wouldn't give much to get him if I was the GM of the Senators. C. Brown, Mete or Brannstrom and a 2nd round draft pick. If that wouldn't be taken, I'd skip the whole bidding thing and move on.

  22. I'll just throw this out there: Ottawa's 7th overall, Colin White (or Matthieu Joseph), + Chicago's pick of JBD, Lassi Thomas, Ridly Grieg, Zack Ostapchuk. If they take Murray (they need a goalie) they can choose two prospects or take a second as well.

  23. Sabres 9th and 16th pick, olofson Middlstat and and any prospect not named Quinn or Peterka for debrincat

  24. Trading him is crazy he is top scorer on Chicago I trade Taves and Kane who don't want to part rebuild get rid ov any body over 32 getting as many picks and assets as u can total rebuild instead ov keeping Kane and Taves and trying to retool look at all top teams in NHL all have rebuild Tampa ,Colorado, Edmonton, Toronto, Florida, Calgary, New York Rangers,

  25. The blackhawks are not trading for a defenseman. They need to trade defenseman. Please research a little before posting.

  26. Duclair's more inline with us he'll cost WAY less and he's looking good … Also enough with the smerfs … Byron goes ,,, I really like him but Caufield's enough with the super small guys …

  27. I understand that the 2nd overall pick wouldn't but enough, but considering this guy is an RFA after this year who is going to get 9mil+, giving up the 2nd overall, Bratt, and any of our higher end prospects is WAY too much IMO. Especially after Bratt having a career year

  28. Does Kevin Fiala's rather pedestrian selling price to the LA Kings diminish the value that Chicago can hope to recoup for DeBrincat?

  29. Sens walk away. That's way too much. Draft a high caliber right winger at 7th overall. Use one of your 2nds as the big piece in a trade for a bonafide 2nd paring dman in his prime. Get a legit coach.
