  1. Ain’t no way Dylan’s gonna make that kind of money here in Detroit. Sorry he’s gonna be traded I’m sure. Stevie has no problem trading the big names

  2. They’re gonna have to pay him good money for him to stay. I’d say $8-9mil. But I could see him getting more. $9.5-10 maybe if things go his way, and especially if he puts up a ton of points next season. But the fact that he’s changed agents NOW, makes me think he wants an extension going into this final season on his current contract.

  3. Larkin isnt worth more then 6.5-7.5M for 3-4 years. ill let him walk if he wants 8+

  4. IMO Larkin does not deserve a big money contract. He is not worth more than 7 to 7.5 million aav. If he wants more than that and if I am in Stevie Y's shoes I let him walk. He is not a top line forward. But Stevie is the GM for a reason and if he wants him back I 100% will support it. Trust in the Yzerplan.

  5. Our captain will take a fair price at long-term! Surely he trusts the Yzerplan and he and Steve already had a plan for his future set up for awhile.

  6. I dunno McKinnon and Crosby are seen to have really good team friendly deals…. there alot of players on Brinson list that could be making more than they are…. they also call Kurt overhardt agency Kurt overcharge for a reason…. maybe Larkin doesn't want to go for full value, maybe he wants to do a team friendly deal and Brisson team has more experience with that

  7. I'd offer somewhere in the range of 7-8 years at 7.5-8.5M, much more is too much.
Weird by the agents though, Larkin is free to make whatever choices he wants. This is the most important deal of his career, this will determine how cushy his and his children's lives will be after he's finished. Larkin's NMC gives him a ton of pull here.

  8. If leon is only making 8 mill and Larkin is a good 40 points behind him i dont see larkin getting over 7 mill

  9. I'm sure you have been asked this countless times, but I don't see an FAQ, soooo… What in the world are you saying in your video sign-offs?!?!?! 🙂

  10. Larkin may be best offensive player, but that is on a poor offensive team. His 6.1 mil was over paying him. Stevie Y will not pay him stupid money, as stupid contracts is the reason the wings have been rebuilding as they continue to dump bad contracts. I’m not so sure he stays with the wings, because the money makes a difference now. Winning in the NHL is all about getting max value, and Stevie Y will prevail…

  11. Detroit has been a losing franchise with Larkin as its Captain. I wouldve thought his head wouldve been on how to get us back to on top but it's not it's on Money. It makes total since now with our collapse defensively down the stretch.

I trust Yzerman and dont think he'll do this but some guys quit down the stretch so I would liquidate everything over 23.

  12. I hope Dylan Larkin and Steve Yzerman agree on 8 years at 8 million each season. No more than 8.8 million per season. It's very vital for Yzerman to lock up Larkin to a contract extension this July. July 13th is earliest Yzerman can re-sign Larkin.

  13. Larkin really burst into better play with Raymond and the Bertuzzi. It was an unwritten rule Dylan was highest paid apex player on the roster. He will be looking for his homerun contract.
Yet Bertuzzi could make more hitting the UFA market.
Seider could be making more with future earnings.

  14. No man the most unprofessional thing to do is what Larkin did it’s like not giving two weeks at your job it’s unprofessional it might be the way for flips but here it’s bad

  15. Trade Larkin and Bertuzzi either together in a single blockbuster, or separately. Yzerman will likely make a haul, between NHL ready players and picks.

  16. After yzerman went out and traded drouin when he was a potential superstar in tampa and he wanted a big pay day, I have no doubt in my mind that Steve won’t be pushed around in negotiations. This is a gm that isn’t afraid to make a deal. I believe a fair deal can be had for both sides

  17. Yzerman will trade him. He's not going to pay him his due, cause he's still in the rebuilding phase. It would set the team back if he gives him what he wants.

  18. I’m not a redwings fan but the guy scored 71 points on a rebuilding team. Larkin deserves to get paid.

  19. This is called speculation at it's finest. People are making it out to be like he's leaving Detroit or demanding a huge payday even though 75% of fans have no clue what goes into a contract negotiation. This is a GOOD thing. I REPEAT, A GOOD THING. If you don't realize that then don't even pretend to speculate on what's going on.

  20. 8.5 mil 8 years. Slight overpayment now but 8 years from now you'll be signing lesser players for 9 mil so I could live with that. Can't have your captain slummin'.

  21. How would you feel if you had done 11 years of all the work and pushing this guy's career and media negotiations and sponsorship deals, for him about to make his biggest payday ever and to leave you after you put all the work in. So to all the players that do this screw them at the same time it's a free country so Dylan can do what he wants!

  22. How is being given $6.1 million a year not getting paid? Is he even an elite center? Is he even a line1 center? Has he lead his team into the playoffs? How many NHL teams would sign him for say $8.5 million a year for 4 years?

  23. He is delusional. 2nd line center on a cup contender, and a big fish in a small pond.

On a cup contending team he is 2nd line all day.
Not as prominent on Colorado, Toronto, Pittsburgh, Washington, Tampa Bay, Florida, St.Louis, Rangers, Carolina, etc etc…where he would be taking a back seat to the top centers those teams carry.

Larkin is the modern day Ray Ferraro. A good and reliable 2 way center. Not a superstar and does not command superstar money simply because there isn't a center on the team that's better than he is.

And lets stop with the heart and soul nonsense. Heart and soul of what? An unfortunate and empty wasteland of losing.

Hard pass on a (Ken Holland special) of 7 or 8 years and upwards of 8mil a season.

  24. Hopefully Yzerman will trade Larkin in the summer as he is not the one to lead the team to success .. Larkin never succeeds in a physical game, but always starts crying for the referees and thus confuses the game of his own team.. Far too overrated player. His last 5 games in the regular season and +/- statistics SHAM -11 ..

  25. KO Sports letting their other clients know that they'll smear them for leaving is not going to improve their business going forward.

  26. Wow I've never seen an agency act all butt hurt before. Low class move, I'm glad Larkin moved on.

  27. Don't be alarmed if he gets moved remember this isn't an yzerman draft pick and last I checked the team that Stevie built is back yet again in the conference finals. Trust the plan and understand no one player is getting a payload without Mr I raising from the dead

  28. Let’s compare Auston Matthews stats/contract vs Dylan Larkins stats. The 3 seasons preceding Matthews’ extension, he was averaging 0.96698 points per game, on his rookie contract. The 4 seasons preceding Larkin’s possible extension, he’s averaging 0.80147, on his second contract extension. Given Matthews was on his rookie deal, and therefore has more upside, he may have commanded a premium even higher than what his point total is worth. But on the opposite end of that, we have an expanding cap and inflation to factor in now for a Larkin extension. If we go by these numbers, and what Matthews signed, $11.6 million/year, then Larkin would be worth $9.6 million for 5 years. HOWEVER, he isn’t Auston Matthews. So, we’ll knock off another 0.6 million a year. I think anything under 5 years would be $8.5-$9 million. Anything over 5 $7.5-$8.5 million. Larkin is not a knock out of the park, still well short of a point per game, and will start to see limited upside. But if he can get close to consistent 1 point/game numbers with solid 2 way play, then these figures are well worth it.

  29. as a life long wings fan , I've never been impressed with Larkin and would not be bummed if he is traded or moved on ,…"LET'S GO REDWINGS" 🐙

  30. He should get Willy Nylander money nothing more or less. I would rather have Nylander but they both have simular numbers , games played over their careers , they will both probly end up with simular numbers and games played in the end.

  31. I think if he ask for more the 8 you got to then look at the other centers making that money and compare if he got the same number fine but i think we should do a 2 year deal if he ask for a lot of money and wait for someone better he good nust not 1 line if he ask for the same amount he getting paid and we get s first line center then we would be good but he just not a 1 line center I like larkin but he need to get where he once was i wouls have no problem wirh him get 9 or 10 million if he was a point per game guy 90 points a season but he hasn't really shown me he can get there yet not saying he can't but there a possibility he a 70 point guy and my question is a 70 point guy worth 10 million or you trade him a get your guy

  32. Dylan wants a cup. He knows he's not getting one in Detroit, not because of Yzerman, but because Chris Ilitch isn't going to spend to the cap for talent. Ergo, he goes with an agent that every GM in the league will drop everything to pick up their phone listening to offers. Dylan's happy with the money but he feels TRAPPED by the pressure of the long-suffering rabid fan base. When Larks retires, doubt he's going to stick around Detroit. Maybe he can go somewhere, make more money and get a chance at a cup.
