He absolutely fleeced the capitols. This trade was a great representation of what yzerman brings to the table for our future.
And Blashill is good as gone are seasons end. Yzerman already knows who he wants to be coach.

Big Caps fan here…sad to see Vrana go, but very excited to get Mantha. Great trade for both teams. Caps probably losing Oshie next year from Seattle, and have Mantha thru 2024. Vrana is due a bigger contract, and Caps still need to sign Ovi. Vrana has great speed and a wicked quick slap shot, but his D isn’t any good, and can’t battle on the boards. Panik was definitely an odd man out on the Caps, and we found better players in Sheary and Sprong to place Panik on waivers. Panik is a very deceptive player that will hit guys, much stronger than he looks…he is just not a goal scorer…
Vrana and Panik will have an opportunity to showcase in a new environment and system that hopefully works out for Detroit…I’m definitely a Vrana fan, all about his speed and breakaways… however, he scored 0 goals on 5 breakaway attempts vs Islanders in last years playoffs, but he is probably about 5/8 (guessing) on breakaway goals this season.

Come on Trevor, what message is he trying to send? It's simple, this team has to start winning games, giving 100% isn't enough anymore, give 110% and make those small plays that make a difference or you won't get here next year. Like Any GM he wants his team to be successful and everyone give everything to this organization.
