If you are going to be an NHL announcer, you need to be at the top your game. There are many many many people waiting in line for your job. And if you don't put in the time and effort…you should make way. The person most qualified for the job should get it regardless of anything.
Panger and Kelly better be having steaks on top of a mountain somewhere… The silliness of tonights broadcast was fun but hopefully not a regular occurrence.
By the way, loving the new goaltender “Craig” Binnington (3:05), the resemblance with the other Binnington, Jordan, is uncanny… u know? (Amazing game guys)

this broadcasting team needs work, none of them inspire enjoyment of viewing. play by play was awful, analysis was bafflingly off-base, scoring celebrations are weak and off-putting (what's with the whispering names?), just all around poor performance from the announcers in my opinion. I may be spoiled by our teams regular broadcast team because they're so good at what they do, but i feel like ESPN should really do better if they want national broadcasting rights.
