With the way Malgin has been scoring we will be fine
I’d rather them sit as much as possible to get the others a shot to see what we have. We know the Big 4 will be on the team, no need to risk them

Doesn’t really matter, it’s a meaningless game, we already have multiple injuries, we know those 3 are gonna be on the team already. This is pretty much tryouts for the bottom six/7th D

I think Keefe really wants to see who wants a place in opening day lineup. If you want Tavares, Engvall, Muzzin or Liljegrens spot, time to prove it. Excited to see which of these guys want it the most over the next few games.
Imo unless any of the star players want the reps, shut them down until maybe you run the final line ups vs Detroit. The Leafs just can’t afford another injury.
This is normal for preseason. It is right before cuts are made so this is everyone’s last chance to impress.

On first glance I dont see how this roster even meets the standards for a pre-season game’s NHL regular requirements. It must, but by the slimmest of margins I guess.

They’re about to cut the training camp roster down to like 30 or less players. This is every bubble player’s last show before they get sent down.
I guess core players don’t need the warm up games before the season
That way its a fair fight.
This is basically non news. With some of the moves we had in the off season of losing some key roles and getting some new talent this is the only way to find what works in games that literally don’t matter.
I keep looking forward to watching some Leafs hockey, but this ain’t it 😀
