Who knew hockey players cared about how their friends are treated? The modern star player needs to feel pampered and even his friends need to be treated with respect. I know their cap situation and lack of trade bait makes it virtually impossible, but imagine Pasta with McDavid. If the Oilers also got, say, Gibson and Kadri (assuming they can dump all their basically dead cap they could do that, I know none of this will happen) then they could have a top line of Pasta, McDavid and Drai (Leon only needs to be second line center because of lack of another true second line center) with a second line of Kadri, Kane and Hyman. This is all theoretically possible with their cap assuming perfect cap dumps and the Ducks taking prospects and draft picks for Gibson, but again I know this won't happen……..but imagine :p
