How the Montreal Canadiens didn't win a Cup with Pat Burns behind the bench is something I will never understand. He was among the top defensive coaches of all time, he had Patrick Roy in goal, forwards like Carbonneau, McPhee, Skrudland, Keane and Ryan Walter. A deep team of very reliable, solid defensemen and a team that surely would have led the league in blocked shots during most the season's he was coach. And one of those years, The Hockey News speculated the Montreal Canadiens might have the best defensive team EVER. Lost in the finals his first year (in a series they were up 2-1 with game 4 at home) and then the subsequent 3 seasons lost in the conference finals. I just don't get how that happened. He was a good man and I'm very happy he got his name on the Cup.
