  1. So if you take the 12-6-3 and add the playoff records against Washington and Philly. The record looks more like 20-10-3 which is a huge difference from 9-9-3.

  2. We gotta resign Martin. I do think this year, the young players step it up. Barzal, Beau, Bellows and dal colle will be strong this year.

  3. With Lou and Trotz at the helm I'm confident we'll make another run. "What's life without whimsy" is something I never thought I'd hear when talking about hockey!!! Let's Go Isles.

  4. Islanders as I've said in a previous video, is a possible Cup contender for the East.

  5. I can see the Islanders finishing 5th or 6th in their proposed division.

  6. Being ranked 17th is a fucking insult. What the fuck are they smoking

  7. 3 names you didn’t mention Shannon: Eberle – he’s pretty decent, but comparing his #s from Edmonton to what he’s done on the Island I’m a bit disappointed. I think he is capable of 30 goals. He needs to step up his game. Timashov scored a point per game in Quebec junior league and he was drafted by Lou in Toronto. His #s have only been around .5 per game since being drafted. Maybe he can boost his numbers if he’s with the right people? & finally date I say JHS? Lou signed him, surprisingly. He will be at training camp. Will he become the prodigal son? Will he finally make the team? I don’t know if Lou would have signed him if he doesn’t see a future for him in the organization. Oh and thanks for using the Lighthouse

  8. You have the record against Philly wrong. Philly did not beat the Islanders in 2019 2020 regular season

  9. One of the knocks on Brock Nelson has been inconsistency and streakiness. It is going to be interesting to see after a deep run in the playoffs does that experience take him to the next level. I don't think there will be too many previews in which two players signed for 5 more years after this upcoming season aren't in the Core 6 but I'll give a pass on Lee. The 27 year old Pageau will be here for his first full season and we will see how that effects the special teams and faceoffs. Any times the Islanders under Trotz have struggled it coincided with injuries to the true core of this team, Cizikas and Pelech. Some have said that the ultimate reason they signed Varlamov was to induce Sorokin to come over here. He is the future.

  10. They have Pelech they win, they don’t have Pelech they lose. He’s the most important player on that team

  11. Well done Shannon! As an Isles fan, I'd add something to strengths & weaknesses. Strength: Very good center depth (Barzal, Nelson, Pageau, Cizikas)
Weakness: offence & powerplay…I know they play a defensive system, but they still really need another scoring winger.

  12. Halfway through and looking good. Rookies taking advantage and more ten goal scorers than any other team.

  13. I know I'm speaking after the fact but why wasn't Anders Lee in the core 6? He is the captain!
