The biggest acquisition I wanna see is a new special teams coach. And probably a new Defensive system. Maybe you keep Ruff and dump the other two.
Tyce Thompson was developing good until injury, if he can be a mini Tage that will b awesome, love our the lineup we gonna have in a few years, All 4 line are gonna b flying, especially having McLeod heading that 4th line, we are so deep down the middle need to get bigger on wing… Greer is a nice piece but if we can draft that Slofkovsky kid, boooooy, we will be lifting cups…
I just don’t think the future will be bright until we actually show it Im getting tired of the same oh will be better soon but our record the past few seasons really haven’t showed any progress and yes we got prospects but unless their on the squad thats all they are and the prospects may not pan out Ive tried being positive about this team but at some point you just gotta question will we ever go anywhere with this squad how long before we do another reset and go into another rebuild I mean it really does look like we are going nowhere and its just sucks to see us wasting the years of Jack Hughes and a Jesper Bratt I wouldn’t be surprised if things don’t show improvement that Jack requests a trade like Eichel and honestly I wouldn’t blame him I give them 2-3 seasons to get to the playoffs if they don’t even get close to it then it tells me that this core is going nowhere

I think you misspoke. You said this offseason is detrimental to the team's development, but i know you meant instrumental.
Great video! You mentioned all the key prospects with high upside. This team is set up with forwards. Holtz has a chance to be a 50 goal scorer, especially playing with the talent we have on our top two lines. His downside i think is 30g 30a. Goalie is my only concern. The key is whatever we give up in trade from the current roster to get one (forward or d), we have to sign a ufa as good or better. Hopefully our luck continues in the draft lottery. If we acquire a solid G (good, i am not expecting great) and another elite talent this summer either in the draft or free agency i think we will be totally set to be a major contender by the 2024 playoffs.
As long as they play interesting hockey and don't play games where they look defeated all 3 periods I'll be happy. Lately has looked promising.
Pumped for the teams future, Luke looks like the real deal and will be our Makar. This offseason we should be targeting a top 6 sniper, bulstering our depth and we need to address goaltending.

Are u shocked that the Devils didn't traded Zacha, Serverson, or Subban at the trade deadline but off-season the Devils number one thing they need to do is goaltending because they went thru 6 different goaltenders this season and u not gonna win in the NHL with awful goaltending and a better coach and coaching staff and find ways to hold a lead and stop blowing them also play a full 60 minute game and finally end the long rebuild
Thank you for this video, as a Devils fan since 1982…I am sorry…I CANNOT STAND MOST DEVILS FANS. As a NJD fan here in Philadelphia since 1982 (known as "The Philly Devil" nickname given to me by Stan FIschler (who I also have done work for) so many fans do not even keep up with Utica. I watch TUNZ of MHL/KHL because of my beloved CSKA RED ARMY/KRASNAYA RED ARMY and RED DEER REBELS (WHL) Devils fans instead of wasting money at the game on two WAY over-priced bear take $23 and watch the COMETS….every AHL game. You can watch the MHL for FREE on youtube. In fact my beloved Red Army Jr team "KRASNAYA ARMIYA" plays OMSK with our ARSENI GRITSYUK. The ONLY move we have done in the past 4 years that has pissed me off…did MARTY not teach us anything? YAROSLAV ASKAROV a generational goalie who does everything great was passed on by us for HOLTZ. I am STILL beyond pissed over that move. In Utica our D in BAHL, OKHOTYUK AND VUKOJEVIC are playing GREAT, fans forget about NOLAN FOOTE who is coming along nicely. I am THRILLED we did not do anything at the trade deadline and I hope PK stays because he is great for the community, not a doubt his play will come around. Now for me Arseni cancels out Holtz and therefore we could have drafted YAROSLAV ASKAROV. That being said, the best goaltender in Europe who is able to be signed today, is KRASNAYA ARMIYA (my Boys the CSKA Jr team ) is KIRILL SAMSONOV. Kirill is having a magical year. He was passed on his first year of draft eligibility as was Nico Daws. I know have a Nico Utica jersey. If you told me I would have that after watching my beloved Russia WJC team 2019 DESTROY I MEAN DESTROY Nico, I would have said you were nuts. Nico is having a tough time on the road but playing very well at The Rock. Nico has been one of the top goalies in the AHL. I never thought they were a playoff team this year at all. I just wanted to see growth from certain players and we have seen that in Jack, Bastian, both Jesper's, Sharongovich has really come on after a slow start, Honestly, I always had my doubts about Ty Smith and why I desperately wanted us to draft Alexander Alexeyev (Capitals took him). However it takes a long time to develop D men. Honestly, Daneyko was HORRIBLE for years and then Larry Robinson showed up. Our D has no structure it seems at times and very few block the puck but help is on the way from Utica and college. PATIENCE IS NEEDED. DO you want to feel better about our future? Take the AHL NETWORK plunge of $23 a month because we have a LONG playoff ahead of us.

Zajac working with the centres makes the faceoff aspect of the game is great. The stagnation at the deadline made sense. We didn't need another a sell off of expiring contracts with decent cap space. A healthy Blackwood, Wood and Hamilton will make a great season
I predict a 8M per season contract for Bratt.
NJ's future will continue to STINK if GM Fitzgerald and the dreadful coaching staff are retained.
This season is nothing short of a total disgrace.
