Derek Lalonde parle des nouveaux entraîneurs des Red Wings
Derek Lalonde s’entretient avec les médias suite à l’embauche de Bob Boughner comme entraîneur associé et d’Alex Westlund comme entraîneur des gardiens.
I’m guessing Bob Boughner didn’t list Erik Karlsson or Ryan Merkley as his references. He’s not exactly a fit for Detroit’s culture of high skill & creativity.
What a great past ten days. We’ve added Lalonde, Boughner, Westlund, Ville Husso in net, Marco Kasper, Dylan James, et al in the draft. Excited to see what we might add in free agency.
I really like listening to this guy speaking about the work in progress that he's clearly already happy to be in the thick of👍! Focused, interesting to listen to, already knows what he's looking for, etc.– all very promising and refreshing👍🎯!
Nice hires on the coaching staffs side of things, a good draft, Steve snapping up Husso, etc, yes, things are sure bubbling along nicely, now, as October draws slowly closer😁!
I love his take on special teams and coaching. He looks at it as being stronger and more fluid together vs everyone with their own category and units to work with. I think his foundation for building this team up is exactly what this organization needed. He's very sharp and focused. I see why Stevie knew he was the right guy.

such a breath of fresh air from blashill.

I trust our bald king
This guy Lalonde seems very impressive. A combination of intensity and relationship-building. A coaching version of Yzerman.
Gru hiring his minions
This guy just gives me a good feeling when he speaks, he's more direct and clear than Blashill was. No offense
Boogieman‼️
Process, people. Process.
I still say he looks like Penguin from that 1960's Batman show.. "POW!!"
Gru & Booger.
Excited for Lalonde to polish up this staff, and get things running smooth and slick in the D-zone

Uncle Fester
It feels like Detroit sports is making a turnaround, minus the Tigers.
Ole Ned-o
Someone needs to make a heavy metal song with him talking about the process

Let's do this Newsy LGRW 🐙
The RW team and org s future looks very bright. I haven’t been this upbeat/ excited about where and how RW are progressing Since Babcock hiring.
Finally interview responses with content. Love this. I look more hopeful into the future.
What an exiting time to be a red wings fan. It’s always darkest before the dawn!
Great choice Derek
