This is a 7th seed in the Metro… Like I won't argue from a family standpoint. If Columbus is where he truly wants to be then fine, but from a hockey standpoint, this move doesn't make much sense. The Blue Jackets have great young players, but still a retooling team overall in very deep Eastern Conference. Even with Gaudreau, still not convinced this is a playoff team. This signing takes me back to the big fish free agent Taylor Hall a couple of offseasons ago. Everyone was speculating which contender he would join, only for him to sign with Buffalo… I don't know… very strange signing…
