I’m not saying they’re gonna win the Stanley cup or anything but I feel like a lot of people are sleeping on the Red Wings. They have a ton of depth. Especially on the blue line. It will greatly depend on the goalie performance of course but they might surprise some people.

I would swap the Wild with the Blues and Ducks for the Jets. I like the rest. Avs going back to back I think against either NYR or Canes, with a slight chance of Tampa. Canes would be the toughest matchup and have a decent chance. Avs would sweep the Wild in the playoffs or 4-1

Oilers defence will get destroyed again by the first real team they play.
My opinion is that the Wild have owned the oilers the past couple of years and as far as the Wild, they get cap space freedom perhaps as soon as next year when the NHL opens up the purse. Then they can go out and acquire perhaps a missing piece or two. I think the Wild will surprise this year and perhaps make a cup appearance.

Last year you had Seattle in the finals and Columbus dead last with 46 points. I've learned to take your predictions with a grain of salt.
I think you are giving Edmonton to much credit. Campbell is not a 5 million dollar goalie. If he would of played better in the first round last year the leafs would have beaten the lightning, hot take here. Edmonton is fighting for a playoff spot with 5 games remaining.

I honestly see Washington just missing the playoffs. They're a much older roster and Backstrom being on LTIR indefinitely is a pretty big blow to their offense and don't really think Strome being that game changer, imo. Their defense really hasn't improved all that much either, so while they will play some competitive hockey, I see them just barely missing the playoffs.
Also, if the Isles do not progress after being lackluster the year before, then I can also see them just missing the playoffs as well and possibly have either Detroit or even New Jersey taking that spot.
Question with what is coming into the lineup with guys like Power, Quinn, Krebs (for a full season), Mittelstadt (who was injured for majority of season but looked good at the end of the season), Lybushkin, Comrie, and potentially Peterka, how does this team with your prediction go by my math 32-36-14 or 33-37-12 and only improve by 3 pts
Nashville AND the wild over the blues?? The blues are always underrated year after year. They gave the avs arguably the most challenging series of the playoffs last year. Biased fan here but the blues were the only team in the league to have nine 20 goal scorers last season and maintained 8 of them with some promising multiple young players getting better every year to fill in the loss of Perron. Also going to have leddy the full season to help on defense which was the biggest issue on the team last year. Only way they fall to the wildcard spot is Goaltending.
