Sorry but there are not going to be any women hockey players in the NHL. You need to sit down and think this through instead. The physiological differences between men and women are well documented. Men have greater muscle mass and bone density by good margins. The US and Canadian women's Olympics teams play against midget AAA and high school hockey teams which gives them challenge to the point they often lose. Then we can talk about women's hockey removing most of the checking.
There is a reason men and women are separated in the Olympics. You can look at the top records and the difference is apparent. Women's sports also have rules against men playing in them but not vice versa, take a guess why.
Hayley Wickenheiser, one of the best women's players to play, played briefly in the Finnish men's third tier league where she struggled. Sorry but the physical differences exist. Women as GMs, coaches and refs can happen but players? Not happening.

I have no doubt there are female hockey players with enough skill to play in the NHL. I just think about hits like the one on Sam G. in the playoffs. If that had been a female player and got hit that hard would the injury be worse? no different? We complain about player safety already how much would that change with a female player? If a player holds up and doesn't hit a female player and she goes down the other end and scores how much will that impact the conversation and game? What about locker room dynamics? Would she have her own showers? What about player relationships? what happens if she develops a relationship with someone on her team? What if one of them gets traded and they play against each other? Maybe the human dynamic won't be an issue.

I agree it's JTC and then Newhook takes over. JTC the trusted vet, was 2C for a long time last reg season over AN. JTC in a contract year. If he starts as 2C, that will give AN time to ease into 2C as the season drags; hopefully AN starts rounding into form as the playoffs start. Plus, mgmt doesn't want a repeat of Jost, who was given too much too early. Looking at possible rosters & the cap for next season, the Avs either go w AN, or trade G, and I feel like they are giving G a chance to redeem his career.
