@Blues de Saint-Louis

1. I thought the Blues d was way better tonight. Leddy is really shutting down opposing teams star power. First Kaprisov and tonight it was Mackinnon and Rantanen. Much better zone exits as well. Have to wonder if they adjusted to the altitude.

  2. You learn more from losing than you do from winning, The Blues learned a lot by being dominated in game 1, and they were able to apply that to game 2. This is not surprising, because the Blues have been doing this all season. Call it 'adaptability', or the ability to change their play based on the changing opposition. They have the skill level to do it, and the coaching staff has the wisdom to shift strategies when conditions warrant. This bodes very well for the Blues in a long series, because they gain more knowledge with each game. Now we will see if Colorado has the same adaptability. It is their turn to counter-punch and we will see if their coaching staff and players are up to the challenge. They certainly have the talent to do it, but do they have the mindset? Colorado was so successful during the regular season, that they were never really challenged to do anything different than what they do. I am guessing that they will insist on 'riding the horse they rode in on', and not be able to adapt to the Blues' changing strategies. That is what happened to Colorado last year with Las Vegas. Vegas adapted their play to counter the strengths of Colorado, but Colorado never adapted their play to the changing Vegas team. Blues in 6!

  3. Calling it now Blues with exorcise those demons and Colorado with have a date with the second round boogeyman. If the Blues can play Colorado like last night for the rest of the series they’ll be done in 6. Calgary better look out if the Blues move on.

  4. Avs had a bad game and will be back for game 3.Go Avs!

  5. This is why I love playoff hockey. From one game to the next the teams can adjust to each other and totally change the complexion of the series.

  6. The Blues had way better forechecking that’s really the biggest thing. The forechecking slowed down Colorado’s 3 qtr ice north speed game. Blues created more traffic in the Neutral zone, Colorado was slowed down because of the Blues. Colorado’s weakness is their puck carrying in their own zone.

  7. St. Louis played how they needed to in order to beat the Avs. Game 1 was team vs team. Game 2 was Blues adjusting. Game 3 will be the Avs adjustment to how the Blues played in Game 2.

  8. Avs fans we told you blues were a better team then you faced last year last year you played a ahl team I admit that not this year
