  1. Still remember henrik sedin missing the open net in game 6 against Boston in the opening minutes when the puck bounced over his stick

  2. Just here to see the "Riot" comments, didn't have to scroll far to find the first. Lol

Hamhuis injury really did signal the end of our hopes. Not to mention losing Raymond. Yeah he's not a great top 6 guy but it was touched on that our forward core wasn't that deep outside of Kesler and the Sedins. His presence alone is better than having some of our scratched guys out there.

  3. Rome hits someone who just had the puck, a fraction of a second late, 5 + game + 4 game suspension

Johnny Boychuk checks Raymond into the boards, a player who never had possession of the puck, when the puck was literally at the other side of the rink, breaks Raymond's back, and gets 0 penalty minutes and 0 games suspended

The NHL definitely has favorites, and more often than not, that plays a deciding factor in the winner of the Bettman Cup

  4. I really think that the van canucks will make the playoffs this upcoming season and they have a chance to make a deep run

  5. As a kid, I could never decide who I wanted to win. I'm a Montreal fan, but I'm from Newfoundland and wanted Michael Ryder to win the Stanley Cup.

  6. Boston’s second line won that series. Vancouver’s second line did nothing. Actually no depth after chara shut down the twins .

  7. So glad Boston beat Van. I was so stoked to see Chicago come back in that series and almost won it in ot with a Patrick Sharp shot. Chicago was depleted after the cap issues the summer before. Like you know Shannon there are some nucks fans that are beyond horrible and annoying. Living in Calgary and how our economy has people coming from all over Canada to work especially BC. So Flames vs Nucks games in Calgary are close to being half blue half red in the stands, but that year Nucks fan were arrogant and rude

  8. I was rooting for Antti Niemi in that conference final so he could win back-to-back cups.

  9. Still disappointed the Wings couldn't get past the Sharks for two straight years after the 09' finals. Looking back on it, those Coyote teams we knocked in the first round both years (would make the WCF in 12') were pretty solid.

  10. Samuelsson – injured abductor tendon + sports hernia
    Higgins – broken foot
    Ehrhoff – shoulder
Kesler – groin tear + hip labrum tear
    Hamhuis – abdominal injury
    Raymond – vertebrae fracture
    Edler – 2 broken fingers
    H Sedin – back injury
    Bieksa – bruised mcl

I think that’s all I gotta say… surprised this wasn’t covered in the video

  11. Pisses me off to no end when Canuck "fans" blame Luongo on the loss when scoring just 8 goals. Luongo was just a scape-goat.

  12. I recall rooting for the Canucks just because I don’t like any Bruins team that doesn’t include Bobby Orr or Ray Bourque lol, but Tim Thomas was absolutely sensational when he needed to be even though Luongo is probably a much better goalie on paper. Plus the somewhat tactless comment Lu made about Thomas that just added fuel to Boston’s fire, it’s a shame because it really was a pretty great run for Vancouver

  13. the Capitals in the finals reminded me a bit of how the Canucks should have played like. the team had similar elements that resemble like the Canucks team but only better. the difference is that Ovechkin would block shots and do whatever it would take to win the Cup. as much as I like the Sedins, they never got in front of the net and they never forecheck aggressively. they just played like the Sedins and accepted cheap shots from the Bruins.

  14. the root of all this problem comes from decades of GM's stupid decision making. like the Messier trade and giving Luongo the controversial "C". I knew after they lost the team would not be the same, just like in 94'. I did not watch a single game after. Naslund gave the impression that he felt unfulfilled when he retired. its just awful they let go of so many good players.

  15. DId you say we'll never see the Canucks in a final again? That's a bit of an unfair statement wouldn't you say?

  16. The 2011 Canucks were a disgrace to hockey, they were a pack of losers, degenerates who got lucky against the Blackhawks. The Blackhawks were the better team, they have three Stanley Cups to prove that fact. The Canucks performance in the finals was the worst in the history of the NHL. And their fans burned their city to the ground, a pack of losers, degenerates.

  17. Something else that was called that night they beat Chicago in game 7 that I liked was….

    "Exhale British Columbia!"

  18. This was the best of times … great series a lot of Hate , great goaltending ( by Thomas ), did it for Horty

  19. Tim Thomas played out of his mind in the Cup Final. Even if Luongo was consistent in the series, there is no guarantee the Canucks would've won.

  20. This is the team and run that made me fall in love with the game that is basically my whole life today in 2020! For that this team is my favourite one ever although I can’t remember much. And I’m always a Canucks fan plus it is the team closest to me so I guess my parents watching this made me watch it and now they sure ain’t forcing me to watch games now they wish they were able to pull be away I bet.

  21. Interesting fact, Vancouver’s 8 goals were the fewest scored EVER by a team in a 7 game series

  22. The Canucks were grade A chokers.

They blew a 3-0 lead against Chicago and gave up the tying goal with 1 minute left in Game 7.

They got so lucky to win that one.

Then in the finals they scored 8 goals in 7 games and somehow managed to win 3 of them.

I was rooting hard for Vancouver but they were frustrating to watch.
