The Blues have the core to win it all. The pretenders comment confuses me. Did you call them that in 2019?
What this series showed me is how much of a genius Doug Armstrong is. The Blues depth at all positions made the difference. The games we lost were due to having to use our AHL dmen. Plus, Berube and the entire coaching staff are amazing. Not enough superlatives to describe this bunch. Colorado will have their hands full. #LGB #WeAllBleedBlue
I don't see how you can think we're pretenders. Last season we had a hurt tarasenko and Perron was on covid during the playoffs, the addition of leddy, buchnavich and kyrous rise make us alot better then you think. I think Berube is the only weak link to the Blues I admit that one. How can you say a team with an elite special teams be a pretender? They are called special for a reason. The Blues have a very deep team and they commit to their roles. Alot our players could have alot more goals but they play two way hockey and play defense when needed to. Anyway they closed the series in style and saying they aren't contenders doesn't make sense to me. You have the right to your opinion and Colorado will be tough but you can't count out St. Louis this year.
As a St. Louis fan, I like being the underdog. There is an incredible amount of pressure on Colorado. I believe this series will go at least six games. I don’t feel sure enough about who will win. Naturally I want St. Louis to win, but time will tell. Whoever wins this series is most likely the next Stanley Cup champion.

The Blues just need to find a way to survive those 1st periods against the Avs. They routinely outplay the Avs in head to head matchups after the 1st. It'll be interesting to see a healthy Parayko and Mikkola guard MacKinnon.
Minnesota deserved better. The new playoff format screwed the Wild. I hope they get rid of the 2-3 matchups moving forward because you're losing a great team too early in the playoffs…..even thought I predicted STL in 5.
At this point if I’m Guerin, everyone is on the block, except for a few. If they can get a high 1st rounder for Fiala, take it. Dumba is on the blocks, maybe another high pick or player of equal value as I feel he may just need a change of scenery. I would also consider Spurgeon, his size effects his play in the playoffs. We need to bulk up on the backend. The PK and PP were my biggest concerns and boy did they come to fruition this series. When you say shoot the puck, I love 17 skating through the slot on the PP and dropping a blind pass to the
point, WTF? Again, like game one, if one of those pipes goes in, Jesus, maybe we have a game. Over played Brodin out of necessity. We lost this series G4! Needed to pound their D and

Just a little more accurate info on the D situation. Blues were rolling with 7 D, Parayko/Leddy(2)/Faulk/Mikkola/Rosen/Bortuzzo(2)/Perunovich for the final 3 games. Krug got injured in game 3 and never returned but Perunovich replaced him on the powerplay. Leddy missed 3 games and Bortuzzo missed 2. Scandella played 2 games and he's also probably our 9th best dman so he's a non-factor and they're better without him.

Wild were horribly out coached. Wild power play and power play kill were bad and when the wild were figured out, they became lost. Don't expect that kind of play from the avs.

Nah central and Atlantic are near even. Avs > Florida. Tampa’s team significantly declined this year they were playing 7 players after point got injured. Toronto is cursed and bruins are not contenders anymore.
1 Avs>Florida
2Toronto > to = Blues I don’t think Campbell is good enough to be contenders and special teams is ehh
3 Tampa > Wild
4 Dallas > Bruins Ottinger being a beast and Bruins having less scoring and goal tending then the flames
Then the next 4/5 teams is all the central and it’s not close
Blues will go down in 4 games against the Aves.
