It seems to me that things were overblown draft night. If he wanted to go to Seattle, what is the problem? Yes looks may say otherwise, but he appears to be happy as a Kraken

Shane is unreal smart. Straight up made it look like he literally was just looking at the camera, being Montreal theatre, it's expected their table would be their, but he doesn't even care, just laughs it off and says I want to help this team be a championship team!! Man THIS KIS IS GOING TO BE AMAZING! like his own team mate Ty Nelson just said "you want to be careful around Shane or he'll make you look like a fool on the ice, he can do anything and go anywhere"
