Well we shouldn't be surprised this game was another crazy one filled with all kind of NHL scoring records a couple Oiler records, this series had everything but 1 thing, it didn't have a fight a couple wrestling matches after whistles and it really didn't have that many scrums after whistles either. I guess this is what a modern NHL battle of Alberta looks like, I witness the battles in the 80's and early 90's there was lots of scoring in those series also but there was more blood spilled in the opening shift in those series then we got in 5 games, the new NHL scoring and skill is up and hitting and fighting is down.
I'd say that's the biggest win since the 06 cup run kinda hurts when you say it like that but we are only 8 of them away from the cup being back where it belongs in the city of champions and most importantly in CANADA
That angle you showed Patrick on the Coleman goal really shows he kicked it in, I was screaming as soon as it went in that it was kicked in, finally for once the league got it right and a call goes the Oilers way in the playoffs. Seen lots of the bs on social media that he was trying to stop, my answer to that watch the replay again and watch when his skate starts throwing snow its not till after the he's touched the puck and its crossed the line and that's when you see the blade start making snow as then he's trying to stop, I think if he never flared his heel at the end it would of counted, would have counted if he hadn't touched it.
Good to see JP get a goal tonight we need that to continue our right wingers have been pretty quiet but every game of experience JP and Yammo gets this playoffs is another leap in their development

True enough. … But what he didn’t mention was the calm that came from Jedi Knight Jay Woodcroft. … If this guy had coached for the whole season, he would be winning the Jack Adams trophy.
For me my most memorable moment . I was only 16 years-old when I stayed up and watched Edmonton and Boston Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final 1990 and the lights went out and Peter Klima scored that overtime goal. If my memory severs me it was like 3:30 am or so here in N.S when he scored and the game started 9 :00 pm was so awesome. To win over our arch rivels in this era is right up their what a serious Go Oilers Go!!!!!
Enjoyed the series and beating the Shames. I’m a fossil fan and saw the glory days ,dark days , the run in 2006. This ranks up there. Very concerned with Smith tonight. He looked off. what was Calgary's top line doing when McDavid scores the OT series winning goal? Standing around. Gadreau has a chance to check/hit Draisaitl along the boards but for some reason doesn't and instead turns away from him and moves towards the blueline (?????), Draisaitl feeds McDavid who skates into the slot and scores.
So am I wrong in that the conditional 2nd round pick for Keith is now a confirmed 2nd round pick as he's played a lot and we're now in the conference finals? Correction, they actually have to make it to the finals not just the conference finals so right now it's still a 3rd. Great game by the guys. Calgary wasn't bad. The Oilers were better. Todd marchant OT winner in 1997 in game 7 was the best goal I’ve witnessed since, I was only 10 years old at the time watching that game at rexall place, sure was a blast 💥 the Oilers are still in the playoffs, who knows ? McDavid scores OT in game 7 vs the Avs in round 3, these playoffs for sure we been all spoiled and blessed as hockey fans
