I forget which Hawks game it was earlier this season but there was a similar offsides review outcome where both skates of the opponent entered the ozone just as the puck hit the blade of that player’s stick still in the nzone and it was likewise a good goal. Before that there was a game when Kane received a pass with a kick from skate to stick going backwards into the ozone, and that one was overturned. Where I’m going is it appears the deciding factor in offsides reviews is that possession begins the moment the puck touches the player’s stick.
