À quel point c’est mauvais : les Canucks de Vancouver

Je vais en faire une pour les équipes qui sont considérées comme déprimées, déjà grillées avant même d’atteindre le milieu de l’été. 1. Hmm, healthy season for the top 9 and top five d 35 wins, 10 ties tops. Still not in playoffs. See what they trade off to bubble teams for draft picks. Edler, Tanev, late first round picks? Errikson salary gone?

  2. You made it seem like the sky was falling for Montreal, but Vancouver "it's not that bad." Idk, I think it's worse for Vancouver than Montreal, unless they do something productive with all that cap space, which not many people have faith in Jim Benning to do.

  3. God, I love the look of that first line! 🙂 And as a Swede I know what Pettersson is capable of and have very high expectations on him. To bad there is´nt a better left playmate for him. It would be nice to see Loui stepping it up a notch, but as everybody else I rather see him gone. And also, I dont say that he is ready but it would be very interesting to see Dahlén next to Pettersson at some point. They are both highly praised in Sweden and I belive they would be great together….. I only see a very bright future for the Nucks with this team, as long as they get rid of Edler and Loui.

  4. As a Canucks fan, myself like many others are just looking for some good development this year. It's the first actual rebuild in a long time, so we're not expecting a lot of success this season. If our young players get some good ice time in, and our new additions can fit in well, I'm just hoping for some fun hockey. Active goalie situation right now is shaky as all hell. Lots of cap space lets us breathe easier though. Go Nucks! Patiently waiting for October!

  5. “markstrom and nilsson one of the worst tandems in the league” AGREE 100%

  6. My one arguement would be on Edler being traded "yesterday". He's still actually a great defenseman! The problem is he gets over worked. If he was given less minutes I bet you anything he will show more promising plays regularly instead of everyone focusing on his flubs.

  7. I am still puzzled why management refuse to play good solid players in hopes of other players getting better. Biega was one of our most solid defencemen last year and yet he probably still won't break the line up. Solid, tough and a good deal on our cap space.

  8. The Canucks will never amount to the success they had in 2011. That was our one chance to win a cup and make a name for our selfs aaaand we choke 😂 Canucks will be shit forever

  9. First, really good analysis, I enjoyed watching it. Second, as a Bruins life-long fan, it's been hard to maintain level of hatred the last few years and you'll like Shaller…sorry that he left Boston. Third, getting players like Rousell will help rekindle the hatred! 🙂

  10. I'm a flames fan but the habs and Sens are the two worse teams in the nhl right now both of them are a mess

  11. This is the beginning finally, post sedins era. Loved sedins but now time to see how the boys do without em.

  12. Did this today- Day after Linden gone:
    Erickson – Horvat- Boesser
    Baerchi-Sutter-Gagner
    Roussel-Granlund-Petterson
    Leipsic-Beagle-Virtanen/Schaller
    Elder-Stecher
    Del zotto- Gudbranson
    Hutton/Juolevi- Tanev
    Pouliot
    Markstrom/Nilsson
Utica will have Goldobin, Gaudette/Dahlen/Lind/ Gadjovich/ Jaskiran/ Motte
Not a playoff team yet but kids playing and given chance to grow into top 6 spots. Gaunce ?

  13. please trade tanev edler sutter gagner and eriksson and nilsson and boucher clear 23 mill more in cap rather the kids like goldobin virtanen dahlen juolevi demko get real shots

  14. Dude take off your automatic camera settings. Whenever you move around, which is frequent, it eff's with the focus and aperture settings thus becomes jarring to your viewer. Nice work otherwise 🙂

  15. I would rather have Tanv then Edler and Eriksson just should get traded other that I'm looking forward to next season

  16. The Canucks have a great young team, and with the Twins retired they can now start true rebuild. There is a lot to build on, but I don't think they will make the playoffs next season.

  17. I think leipsic has lots of potencial. I would pick him in stead of gagner. He is fast skilled and he can help de rebuild

  18. Way to put lipstick on a turd! The Canucks are in much worst shape than widely suggested. If you look at that line up and compare it to the 10 top teams in the NHL maybe 6 Canuck players would make those teams. The only team that is in worst shape is the Canadians…

  19. Aside from a few points, I like your projection.

Considering the depth, Gagner doesn't deserve a spot in the starting lineup. He's a 4th-line vet who was overpaid to be a consummate pro and take whatever assignment the GM has for him, be it pressbox or Utica. There is youth to serve here, and he's not in the Canucks' future plans, he's injury depth and that $3m/yr is Canucks waiver security for when they need him. The rookie Petterson will wear down at some point with need of relief, and Ganger can fill in then as needed. Leipsic brings more offencive upside and deserves Gagner's spot to start the year.

Gaudette didn't look ready last year, legs/balance still need some strengthening before he can keep up over a season. He'll start in Utica and get a few call ups. With that right spot open, Granlund fits into the lineup.

Roussel seems to have made more a name for himself on the left wing. Schaller is the typical wherever-you-need-him kinda bottom liner, he'll shift to rightwing.

Virtanen will start the season with the opportunity of being Pettersson's muscle, but if he doesn't show up look for Roussel to move up the line, and Eriksson down. In any case, coach will still want to get Virtanen going, matching his speed and shot with Pettersson's play making, while Eriksson is only important there at the start to help ease Pettersson into the league, and once acclimatized Eriksson can go wherever.

    2018 starting lineup predicted:

    Forward:
    Bärtschi-Horvat-Boeser
    Eriksson-Pettersson-Virtanen
    Leipsic-Sutter-Granlund
    Roussel-Beagle-Schaller

    Goldobin-Ganger

    Defence:
    Edler-Stetcher
    DelZotto-Tanev
    Pouliot-Gudbranson

    Biega

    Goal:
    Markström
    Nilsson

    PP
    Bärtschi-Horvat-Boeser
    Pettersson-Edler

    Leipsic-Granlund-Virtanen
    Stetcher-Pouliot

    PK
    Eriksson-Sutter
    Edler-Tanev

    Roussel-Beagle
    DelZotto-Gudbranson

  20. Sure the Canucks won’t make the playoffs this year and they aren’t likely to be contenders for a few years, but they have one of the best prospect pools in the league. They’re in good shape moving forward.
I think the Sens and Habs will be worse off this year and going forward they’re going to keep going downhill until the incompetent management on both sides get fired.

  21. My nightmare would be if Jack Hughes gets picked by another team next year…and to fulfil their dream to play together in the NHL, Quinn finishes his college career and chooses to sign with that team instead of the Canucks…especially if it happened to be with the Sens and Brady Tkachuk. Yikes!

  22. There arent that many people who remember when they were good enough that they made it to The Stanley Cup Finals 3 times but lost all 3 to the Islanders Rangers and Bruins

  23. Don't know why the YouTube algorithrim brought me here but it's pretty neat to see how well (or not so well) this aged. I laughed when you mentioned rebuild
