I've always wondered why it took so long for the NHL to have a franchise in Seattle. IMHO Seattle is a much better venue for hockey compared to someplace in California, Florida, Texas or Arizona.
So, I am new to hockey (I’m Dutch and there is very little (ice)hockey here) and I have a question: why was the goalie not on the ice for such a long time? The Minnesota goalie that is.
Grubauer stood on his friggin head.. What a performance! If they can get that kind of goaltending each night, they will be a tough team to beat. Especially at home. The intensity of their fans is amazing!
Great goaltending on both sides, but Gru definitely stole the show during the PK. Fleury was on fire tonight, skating so smoothly and puck handling like a ballet dancer. Gourde had an up and down night, made some sweet passes but also some costly giveaways that Gru had to make up for. The Kraken are definitely finding some chemistry early in the season, they just need to work a little harder in their own end. They have the talent on defense, but I've seen the get lazy for stretches. Overall a solid win against a good team, but lots of work left to do to be a playoff team this season.
I've been a Seattle Seahawks fan since I was 6 years old and as a German, that Seattle now also has an NHL team and another German with Philipp in the gate is even better! I'm curious what will become of the team and the club in the next few years, it already looks very good 🙂 Hyped about the Kraken & Seahawks next Years !
The inaugural season of any expansion team is souly about setting a precedent of excellence. So far I think that the Kraken are doing a better job as the season moves on. They won't be anything close to the Vegas Golden Knights 1st season but they can make a point.

That goal by Gio was literally the best goal this year so far. Pinpoint accuracy no fluke regardless of the EN.
