They’re not in Gander. They’re playing in Twillingate, over an hour away. Beautiful place though, still.
I heard of Gander, it was a place starred in Come From Away. A great musical. I enjoyed it. Much recommend
Love this. Flew into Gander for an hour or so on the return from a NATO exercise in the Baltics as a US Marine in 2018 (I’m a dual citizen). Great people, very hospitable even very late at night, I bought a few souvenirs to support the shops even though I didn’t need anything. Still have the Newfie flag and shot glass from there!
Edit: Halifax, NS was great, too! We didn’t get to debark, just sat there while they refueled the plane on the way to Europe. Our meal was Tim Hortons baguettes and Canada Dry ginger ale! Had to educate the other Marines on the glory of Timmys. Only thing missing was an Iced Capp…
