1. Have to say, it was amusing seeing CGY dropping by the Oilers YouTube channel to start touting a sweep. I mean, are these people even hockey fans? A SWEEP between these two teams? 🤣

There was probably a 0.01% chance that either of these two teams would sweep. Likely not much higher than that, to go in 5 games, and moderately higher for 6, and very, very likely to go 7.

Pride alone will drive these teams to do things they weren't even aware they could do, to win particular games. Whichever team wins this series, will have quite the momentum going forward, and have the nation's hopes for the SC return, on their backs.

Picked EDM in 7, and still sticking with it. Not just because I pull for them as a team, I'm not blinded by fanboyism. I genuinely think this team is still growing in its playoff venture, and they will continue to come together, and be the better team over the course of the series. CGY is slowly bringing out the best in the EDM team, and there's more to come, imo.

I could be wrong. I could be right. Time will tell.

  2. Why do you keep qualying McDavid. He's the beat player in the WORLD. PERIOD! EXCLAMATION POINT!!!!. No one is close, and I'm getting tired of reminding people. He's the most dominant player since Lemieux. I don't care how many points or goals Matthews gets, or how well Makar plays, THEY ARE NOT McDAVID. Calgary is starting to find out and that the 8 points that McDavid scored over Gudreau may as well be 800, because that's how much more McDavid is worth. You always call him "one of" the best. He's not "one of" he just is the best, live with it.

  3. Great analysis, great sense of humour, I can’t believe you get your videos out so fast. I am up early and couldn’t watch the full game so your review is the first thing I search for in the morning.

  4. Hyman by far one of the most underrated players in the league. As a Bruins fan, he was tough to play against back in TO. I'm glad he is having a career year and finally past the 1st round. Toronto wasted half their cap on 4 players.. never a good strategy to make a deep run.

  5. Great analysis. I gave you a bit of $$$. Will do so on a regular basis

  6. Great vid! Draisaitl's goal wasn't bar down though. It was off the low post blocker side.

  7. I've asked YouTube to stop reccomending your videos, but they seem to come back like a Cancer.

  8. This series is interesting for a couple different reasons. Edmonton is a two man team, but those two players (mainly McDavid) are just that good. Those two alone will keep Edmonton in nearly every game. For Calgary they have the best line in hockey alone with way better depth, which will also keep them in most games. This series to me comes down to how Calgary plays. The Flames are way better at even strength, and if they play disciplined hockey and get decent goaltending from Markstrom, they should win. But if they take 5+ penalties and give Edmonton’s lethal powerplay a chance then they aren’t going to win. Even though Calgarys PK is awesome, it keep Gaudreau, Tkachuk, and Toffoli off the ice.

  9. What a wild ride LOL. everyone at the house was howling at the game. Wow!

  10. Until Calgary starts playing defense (that means keeping McDavid in check), this could favor the Oilers in 6 or 7. What a series! I always loved the "Battle of Alberta"!

  11. Come on don’t ever complain about NO PENALTIES. THATS HOCKEY! In front of the net is open season. Finally they let them play! Great game

  12. Reffs were completely shit this game. Bad calls on both ends of the ice

  13. #Bestsportworstleague. Hockey really is the best sporting the world. And definitely the worst run by the Nhl front office and officials Quoted from DK Sports on a podcast covering the Pittsburgh Penguins. 1👍

  14. Hyman is a beast unleashed. His forecheck is insane. He cycles the puck to himself! He scores shorties! What more can you ask. What a player!

  15. Game 3 is going to be great! The crowd will be crazy loud and I think the game is going to be way more physical, which to this point has been kind of surprising low.

  16. All season long Toronto fans call Connor McDavid and Draisaitl frauds and PP merchants, they both end the season every single year it’s more points than any Toronto player. Auston had a great season but this narrative of him being better than McDavid is a joke. McDavid has 20 points in 9 games. Going into the playoffs matthews had 24 in 32. Draisaitl had more goals and as many points and has upped his ppg pace despite playing on one leg. No fans are as toxic as Toronto fans. I’ve never in my life seen a fan base trash players like they trash mcdavid and Draisaitl just to have the Edmonton stars out produce the leafs players when it matters. Matthew’s is a sub 1 ppg playoff player, his stats shrink compared to his regular season numbers and he doesn’t score in elimination games. Maybe it’s time that leaf fans shut their mouths until their team and their stars actually step up like edmontons boys are doing.

  17. The only thing consistent with NHL reffing is their inconsistency

  18. Yes McDavid is a huge part of the Oilers, but so are the Other 20 players. The win as a team and they lose as a team. Go Oilers Go.

  19. I don't believe Nurse's stick was broken either. Mcdavid is otherworldly but oilers need that depth scoring from Hyman, Bouchard and company to continue to counter Calgary's depth.

  20. The comments about Nurse's stick, I think you're missing some: it was Yamamoto's job to give Nurse his stick. On the PK, you gotta get the dman the stick, he's more important than the forward.

  21. Mcdavid is a man on mission. He will not be denied a cup this year. Every team is just speed bumps along the way. Old man Smith will be good enough riding Mcdrai coattails to a ring finally. Say what you want about the oilers team to justify your team winning. Mcjesus will not be stopped.

  22. Yes yes. 2/3 thats what they need to do. Your hockey knowledge is insane. I love it

  23. Markstrom has given up 11 goals in 2 games. He’s weak high glove and the oilers are exposing it.

  24. I think the “shrinking down to a smaller size” is in anticipation of a possible deke. You lower your center of gravity to allow for quicker side to side movements.

  25. @Hot Garbage Sports  how many teams in the league have 4 lines that dominate? Oilers have just as much depth on forward as any team in the league. It is just parroting the narrative that toronto sports network and shitty sportsnet keep repeating. Think for yourself timmy. McDavid, Drai, Kane, Nuge, Hyman, Yamamoto, Puljujarvi, McLeod. Give your head a shake if you don't think that forward group is deep lol.

  26. Ron Maclean said something I thought was interesting. He mentioned the referee wasn't close to the net on the first disallowed goal.
I don't know if being closer would have prevented the disallowed goals, but if he'd been closer maybe he''d have seen Markstrom pivot as Conner McDavid skated through the crease.
Had the ref been closer to the net, maybe he'd have called a penalty on McDavid before or as the goal was scored, McDavid would have ended up in the box.
Meaning that the next goal by McDavid wouldn't have been scored.
As Stan Mikita once said, it's hard to score from the penalty box.
Keep up the good work on the second worst Hockey Youtube channel!
    😉
