  1. Buffalos probably looking like

    9.) Kemell or Lambert
    16.) Gauthier, Nazar or Geekie
28.) Luneau, Lamoureux , Casey, whichever high projected RHD is available here, or they might take a chance on Miroshnichenko if he falls here because of his illness.

  2. I think right now… this deal looks like a win for all sides.. Sam had clearly his best season as a Panther and FLA gave up a goalie that due to Knight, has really no future with the team (he's still in NCAA so it's a piece not in their hands anyway) and a basically an early second round pick. Florida didn't really give up much at this point for a player who scored more than a point/game and 30+ goals… and the sabres.. who NEED A GOALIE BADLY.. get a goalie prospect who could be their netminder for the next 10+ years and a late first rounder in a deep draft. Many didn't like this deal when it was done… I liked Levi and loved it. Who expected that the first rounder would be 28 and not earlier.

  3. If Levi stays in college for all 4 years and doesn't sign with the Sabres, then the Reinhart trade will be one of the worst trades in Sabres history.

  4. I live close to where Levi played in his draft year. It's insane he went in the 7th round (mostly due to him not playing major junior), doubly so he got traded by Florida. Most underrated goalie in any teams system, and it wouldn't shock me if he ends up being just as good as Spencer Knight.

  5. The Panthers are going to have to make some choices perhaps moving a goalie, Buffalo does have cap space so If Florida keeps half his salary and say throws in Lundell it could happen. On the Reinhardt trade it is a decent return. I do believe some very good prospects will still be at 28 and when ever Levi wants to make a jump to the big boys He'll do us Sabre's fans proud 👍 I also believe Buffalo keeps all 3 1st round picks because Adam's and Co know how to find talent and Granato is an awesome teaching coach and knows how to get the most out of them and their potential. 😎👍🏒

  6. I think Levi won't sign with Sabres. Disaster. Look him signing with Panthers after becoming FA.

  7. I think the Panthers win this deal hands-down. It was a bad deal for the Sabres. Sabres aren't known for their drafting, unless they're handed the overall #1 or #2. The first rounder might as well have been a second rounder. Levi really doesn't give me confidence that he even wants to play for the Sabres. Reminds me of the situation they had with Cal Peterson. Reinhart is a stud type glue player, excellent hands, accurate with shots and passes, but a slow skater and may be too soft for playoff hockey.

  8. From what I saw as a Sabres fan, most people were rooting for Reinhart. We really didn't care whether the pick dropped by two or three spots.

  9. Most of the Panthers roster had career years. I'm not entirely sold on Reinhart. Slow and soft.

  10. They trade 28 pick, for good defense and 2nd For 23. There's a lot good will to part or need part top 4 defense for cap room, Flames, Pens, and Canucks come to mind, or keep it and sign Malken, or both. This will help young core with Levi and Andersen as back up, who knows

  11. As a Sabres fan this trade was a bad one but really the only trade GMKA made that I didn't like so I digress. First of all, Reinhart was an RFA not a UFA. I knew he prolly wasn't going to resign and I honestly didn't care if we did resign him but the fact remains we still had some leverage. Not to mention Reinhart called our GM on the day of the draft and said he felt bad and he thought our new GM was going to turn the Sabres around. I'm willing to bet Reinhart would have signed a 2 year deal with Buffalo before we traded him to get more value for him. Maybe this type of stuff doesn't happen but you at least have to try it's your job as GM. Anyhow we got a goalie prospect that looks promising but he's still way far off. I don't know we apparently have this genius analytics guy in the building who was pulling for this goalie saying he's the next Roberto Luongo but I'll hold off on that one lol. I think people have to temper expectations of the 28th overall pick. Yes, teams do draft well and develop but I think we shoulda gotten more. Reinhart was a sold top 6 forward. When I heard this trade going down overnight and having to wait till the morning I was thinking more along the lines of Anton Lundell and to hear what we got, kinda underwhelming. I digress

  12. The last 6-8 years it just didn’t work, can’t blame risto jack or sam for wanting to move on to the next chapter in their careers. Glad we got some 1sts
