    Maurice was a mediocre coach, he didn't exactly bring our the best in his players, Buff was lazy when we had him, none of our top forwards play a 2 way game, our special teams have been bad.

    And coaching is the least of our problems. We have a hole in our middle 6 that's left from losing Copp and likely Stastny, our backup goalie is meh at best, we have Dubois who doesn't want to be there, and the leaders on the team (Wheeler and Scheifs) have created a toxic culture. So I'm not gonna write off Tocchet yet.

    The real person who needs to be replaced on the Jets is Kevin Cheveldayoff

    The Montgomery hire by the Bruins was a bit of a surprise, considering that all reports were that they wanted to hire “young”-The Winnipeg hire is a solid one. Rick got a lot out of a team that didn’t have a lot of top-end talent, when he was there, and it’s worse now.

    Tocchet has some excellent coaching experience.
    Won Stanley Cup as a player & coach.
    Amazing career as a player.
    I think players will respect him.

    I like this. He was one of my top candidates and, while we don't know how he will be as a coach, I look forward to seeing what he can do with the boys.

    Rick Bowness and the Jets are working out a contract according to TSN today. So much for all the “insiders” knowledge. None of them were even talking about Bowness being a candidate for the job. Hilarious!!!

    Hey guys, like many people i've started watching your videos daily since Trotz Watch started. I have 2 questions: #1) Did Kevin Weekes or somone "MESS UP" and assume the Rick they were signing would be Tocchet when it was Bowness? Seems too coincidental that "Rick Tocchet was confirmed and a few hours later it's Rick Bowness. I think people heard Rick and assumed it was Tocchet.
    2) You said you'd be on top of the devlopments all weekend no matter what, and, i'm a little disappointed to hear this from other sources and this big development on Bowness didn't come from my new top sports talk show… Too much Canada day partying hard to give us this big news? LOL
