So good to hear from the man. Bring mike richards back. Fan 960, get your $hit together
wow flames off season is a shitshow. at least in '90's flames saw small market economics and traded gilmour. al mac, suter, vernon, neiuwendyk, and fleury-all from the cup team before they left for nothing. at least flames got iginla in one deal.
Going on the assumption we’re about to lose Tkachuk as well , I’m hoping this is more a case of a perfect storm , and little to do with something wrong with playing here. Two (American) players that already had “some” desire to play in a particular area in the States , having career years and seeing their value skyrocket , and recently being locked in Canada during a pandemic and unable to see their family. Johnny also had the health issue of his dad feed the fire of moving closer to home , and the likely loss of his incredibly close friend soon (Sean Monahan) , also likely fueled his decision to leave. And his departure probably fueled Tkachuks decision. Matthew just had a career year with Johnny as a line mate , and he wants to make sure he cashes in. If he drops to 70 points next year , his value on the market drops a fair bit , and he’s not thrilled at that prospect. A lot of bad stars lined up in the past couple of years , and even the good ones (Johnny and Matthew having career years) , were actually detrimental to them staying long term as well.
Yes, you can blame McDavid and drai for being the reason for flames rebuild after one playoff against them 😂😂😂
a major re-tool. kadri and jt miller took take a lot of the pain away.
Booooooooooooooooo Johnny
Greatest city in the country? Give me a break lmao
A great city doesn’t need to rely on a sports teams to be successful.
I think if Tkachuk gets traded you can get some decent players back Chytil and Miller or Kyrou and another piece could help long-term if they want to do a short-term rebuild.
I think Flames will do what the Celtics and allow Treliving to become the CEO of the Flames (his dad owns a share of the team) and than promote the Assistant GM, Make Sutter a consultant and hire Kirk Muller as the coach if the team goes from contender to playoff hopeful.
Tkachuk is going to the Jackets next
