Le podcast de Steve Dangle discute de l’année à venir pour Vegas

Je ne suis pas forcément d’accord avec tout ici mais bon, c’est une discussion autour de l’équipe et le sous a besoin de contenu.

Hey, at least they loudly declared that they don’t know. Most don’t know and pretend to speak with authority.

I think their takes are about par for the course for how other fans think of Vegas, if anything they’re a bit more lenient given their support for Eichel.

I do think Vegas is going to be much better with Cassidy and that’s going to reflect in the standings. DeBoer’s system in Vegas relied heavily on goaltending bailing out the team, but this time the team shouldn’t have to give up high danger scoring chances every 2 seconds.

I really don’t like the point about Suzuki though. Every time Suzuki is brought up for the argument against Vegas’s wheeling and dealing, but nobody ever brings up Erik Brannstrom. You can’t fully evaluate prospect trades if you highlight the one bad one and ignore the one that was a clear home run. The Eichel deal too, yeah we traded Krebs, but what are the odds Krebs ever becomes anything close to Jack Eichel. Trading magic beans for proven talent is risky, but it can be significantly rewarding too. The Flames recently sent down Valimaki, and he was once the centerpiece of a potential Stone to the Flames deal. I bet you the Flames would’ve loved to trade him for Stone, much in the same way we traded Brannstrom for Stone.
