What a fucking effort. Looking like it’s gonna be a good season.

  2. Rangers winning face offs, getting 40 shots on net…Never thought I’d see the day. At least Trocheck missed the empty net, I’m used to #16 doing that…

  3. thatbiggreekguy

I think I’ve seen enough of Vasilevskiy for the rest of his career. The amount of chances in the crease he is able to stop is insane. #IgorsBetter

  4. lukelliot

Do you guys remember the last like 72 hours when everyone was freaking out about lines and chemistry? Hahaha. That was funny.

  5. Sjdillon10

    I don’t like the “Igor’s better chants”

  6. Wesley__Willis

This was a 6-0 laugher if not for the TBL goalie playing out of his mind and the shitty refs. Great start.

Medium heat take: Trocheck is a much more complete player than Strome was in all respects. I think we knew it was an upgrade but it’s going to turn out to be a HUGE upgrade.

I’m gonna do my best to not get too penisy after just one game, but we’re going 82-0~

  8. GurfMcBurf

So good to be back y’all ❤️ Awesome win against the Lightning, screw them! LGR🔵🔴🔵🔴

The Rangers did something they did very few times last season. They played a complete game.

  10. Whoknowsthesedays

Needed this one. Gf broke up with me in the third period and a day after I just took her to ny to meet the family. LGR

Kids looked great tonight. Jones is definitely an upgrade over Nemeth. I know this is borderline sacrilege but Igor wasn’t better tonight because he didn’t have to be. The team didn’t give up the egregious scoring opportunities they did last season. Vasi had to be great otherwise this game would have been over early. Definitely still think Bread and Tro still need to find the chemistry. Really excited for what this team can do!

Gallant said Kravtsov is “day-to-day”, Rangers hockey is so back.

  13. Unfriendly_Giraffe

Goodie’s hat — anybody see that?

  14. mbsmilford

Zibby is on pace for 164 goals. Team looks good. Hope kravtsov not hurt to badly. Revolving ads on the boards blows.

  15. Direct_Crab6651

The best part ….. Tampa actually played pretty darn well and probably is not that unhappy with the play minus the short handed goal…….

It feels good to play a team as elite as Tampa and you control the game even when they play well. Great sign.

  16. layogurt

Is the board ads changing new? That’s super distracting

  17. Sjdillon10

I don’t think we’ve even seen prime Mika yet. I think he’s considered elite but not superstar. I think his prime will be superstar. I think this may be the year

  18. DonTrask

Kakko played well, I see this as his turnaround season.

  19. HerDanishDaddyDom

Just over here toe tapping over the shots on goal and our D.

  20. LordPeterLowenbrau

What a perfect night! Rangers win, Yanks win, and what the hell, still riding on the high of the Giants.

  21. Key-Tip-7521

What a start to the season! Excellent penalty kill (except for the Stamkos PPG), Good shifts, 5 on 5 could improve. But, Goodrow’s tip in goal is the goal i’d like to see!!! Shesty looks like Shesty, winning faceoffs?! WOW! and most importantly, Mika Zibanejad…. IT’s A POWER PLAY GOAL. Mika looked great. Great win. got the first 2 pts of the season. On to the next one! Good way to celebrate my bday!! LGR!!!

  22. 17IsLucky

Hope Vitaly is ok. His whole career has been such bad luck. Really want to actually see him play!

  23. leavemealoneplz69

Sorry I’m out of the loop here, was Blais a healthy scratch or is he still hurt?

  24. KeernanLanismore

I can’t wait to see Blais in the lineup. Assuming he takes up right where he was just before he got hurt last year. I’m betting he makes a huge gritty contribution to this team this year.

  25. Loved us starting with a Mika shorthanded goal. We were good on the faceoffs which was such a big weakness last season. So excited for a fantastic season.

Next game it’s time for Krieder to get two.
