Not too upset. Rangers had a lot to prove. The NHL really has a big market bias though and it’s extremely evident.
At least Sergachev blocked a ton of shots..
1. Not impressed with PP or PK
2. Sloppy play by most
3. Silly penalties (again)
4. We came out fast and then went like a balloon that goes « poof »
5. G1 of 82, we’ll be fine

Everyone’s overreacting as expected. Point looks healthy. Vasy looks great. Expect another long run and possible cup.
We’ll be fine, see what happens. Good game to watch at least. Wish they weren’t calling constant penalties near the end but what can you do
Chanting « we want the cup » and « Igor’s better » in game 1 against the team that sent you packing last year, lol. There’s levels to this.
I got worked up about a lot of losses last year just for them to go on a run. I’ll reserve panic/hype until streaks start happening.
Hope this was just shaking off the last bit of jitters from the offseason. Although the power play is still trash on so many levels.
Long season ahead boys, pacing is what matters
Felt very similar to the games we lost in the cup finals. Vasy looked great just need to put more pressure on the other end of the ice. It’s the Rangers who are obviously a top 5 team this year so can’t feel too bad.
Kuch played like garbo. Stammers, Point and Vasy looked good. Paul with the bad pass to Killorn instead if shooting like he should have. PP & PK need a lot of work. Overall, still happy that hockey is back. Go Bolts!!!
Besides sloppy D which involved our typical screwing over of Vasi, we need to do two major things this year (unfortunately, we haven’t done this for years but still achieve great results). However, if we…..
1. Won face offs (get more offensive zone time and spend less time chasing the puck)
2. Just fucking shoot (let’s get some dirty/grimy goals off rebounds for fucks sake), we would look so much more complete. It’s probably our winning pedigree that makes those factors not look as important, but after attrition of players and the aging product on the ice, it would really benefit us to return back to some basics.
Game 1 of 82 so whatever but man I would just love to see them get a win on opening night at some point. It doesn’t matter a lot in hindsight but the season doesn’t feel like it started until they win a game.
Sergy and Foote looked horrible. Both had real bad turnovers and lackadaisical plays. Plenty of time and not panicking of course but yeah.

Mcdonaugh’s gone which hurts our defense. Serg had a some typical Serg TOs but some good plays. Hagel-Paul line looks really solid. We’re out Cirelli which hurts defensively.

Stammer looks good. Kuch needs to learn to just make the easy pass or shoot the dang puck.

Pretty much expected considering Palat and Mac are gone. Gonna be a while before the chemistry gets there. They looked so sloppy though
