@Sénateurs d'Ottawa

  1. Well when ur top 6 is the only good aspect of ur team obviously ur gonna have a better top 6

  2. Ottawa fans have all of sudden come out of nowhere and become the most annoying fans. Competing with Edmonton for the most obnoxiously loud fortune tellers.

  3. There are so many holes in this 'analysis' that I'm only listening for laughs.

  4. Would love to see some more rankings! How would you rank the Leafs and Senators top 6 forwards from 1-12? 🤔

  5. When Ottawa makes the same money next year lets see what the points, goals etc. difference is then, Bruno.

  6. The sens are a more balanced top six matthews goes down they are done for the season. Alex or Norris our main scores go down its a loss we can make up. That said this year and maybe next year leafs have a better top 6 4 years after that it looks like a landslide victory on the sens

  7. The way I see it the teams are even. If I were to NHL rating them all IMO

    -Stutzle 90
    -DeBrincat 89
    -Tkachuk 89
    -Norris 88
    -Batherson 87
    -Giroux 86
    (529 total)

    -Matthews 96
    -Marner 92
    -Nylander 88
    -Tavares 87
    -Bunting 84
    -Kerfoot 82
    (529 total)

  8. Willy not low on that list is crazy. Don’t get me wrong, for about a third of last season I couldn’t stand watching him. As he disappears for long stretches. But he looks at times like he is one of the best players in the league skill wise. If he ever got constancy and grit added to his game I could only imagine his ceiling.

  9. Today? Toronto and it is obvious.
    In 1 year it is closer, but still Toronto
    If Tavares slides, then it will be Ottawa.

  10. I love hearing Leaf fans take on the Sens especially smart ones like you guys. I do agree the Leafs have a better Top 6 but if the Sens play to their "potential" they could be not far behind.

    Let's looks at those numbers you mentioned Norris Tkachuk Stützle etc having……those points were on a garbage team with a miles better team who know. Plus don't forget that garbage Sens team last season missed playoffs by only 8pts.

    I honestly think the Sens are going to that kinda of team that are going to he a very solid competitive team in the playoffs more frequently but they are not gunna be a super contending team. Although hockey is wierd anything can happen

  11. I'd say Batherson and Nylander are a wash(but I'd rather have Batherson in the playoffs. Because he's on the decline, Tavares and Norris are close to a wash. Matthews is better than Stuzle by far(for now). Marner is slightly better than DeBrincat. Giroux is way better than Bunting. Tkachuk is way better than Kerfoot or anyone else the Leafs throw on the second line. So basically the Leafs core 4 are better, but with the remaining two top six players for those lines, the Sens have the Leafs beat big time. The big advantage the sens have is their third line. Formenton-Pinto-Joseph could potentially be the highest scoring third line in the league. Adding Motte probably gives the Sens a much better fourth line. The Leafs have a much better D core(though with the arrival of Sanderson the gap might be closing). Sens have the edge in goal. The battle of Ontario will at least be a lot more interesting to watch.

  12. I am a Sens’ fan and I find this question easy: The Leafs have the best top 6. HOWEVER the Sens have the most potential and if you ask the same question in 2-3 years, it will be the Sens.

  13. I think you should have also looked at games played for each top six

    Toronto= 2687
    Ottawa= 2065

    so there's a big difference there and almost half of the Sens top six games played are all on Claude Giroux with 1018 games played

  14. I'm a sens fan….Bruno's top 6 is a bad one lol

    1 Matthews
    2 Marner
    3 Debrincat
    4 Tkachuk
    5 Stutzle
    6 Nylander

    Why Stutzle over Nylander? It's part speculative and part character, Stutzle brings more intensity to the game

    Tavares and Giroux are on their way out points wise, just look at stats on players over 31…

  15. Matthews, Marner, Debrincat, Stutzle, Nylander, Tkatchuk, Tavares, Norris/Batherson, Giroux, Bunting, Kerfoot… IMO as of next season (past aside)

  16. This is what happens when you're allegedly a Cup contender but can't beat a single team in the playoffs ever. Next let's compare the Leafs to Arizona.

  17. Since you decided to use Stutzle’s 2023-24 – you’ll need resign Bunting and Kerfoot – they want a raise.

    Stutzle’s ceiling is higher than where Nylander is now. That being said I still rather have Toronto’s six for Matthews.

  18. Ottawa has the better top 6, because even though the Leafs have much better starpower, the Sens have more depth all around the top 6

  19. This is a great discussion however let’s have the same discussion next year. Toronto is aging and your second line will not be as good as Ottawa’s next season. Ottawa has much more upside than Toronto. Also your top three are coming up for contract renewals and again they will be over paid.

  20. These arguments are dumb the leafs top 6 has been playing together for years gaining chemistry the sens top 6 haven't played together and when comparing salaries for top 6 is like comparing bunting and kerfoot to stutzle and debrincat. Dumb arguments

  21. As a sens fan I actually do quite enjoy your podcast, very unbiased especially compared to many other leaf podcasts or social media accounts. Also like how much you guys dissect everything on both sides of an argument because it opens up different perspectives you can use to say one side is better and what not.

  22. dude on the right really has a leafs buble perspective. guy on left is objective, which is a great but rare leaf fan quality

  23. Step away from the crack pipe boys… The Ottawa senators have the superior top six and top nine!! Toronto has the best player that’s it, Ottawa has the next 3 best players. Looking at all star appearances and points is absolutely useless as the senators are super young and have far less seasons in the NHL. The senators have much younger star players as well.
