What you're saying at 1:33 here is really why folks like Rick Westhead do such important work, even beyond trying to end the culture that lets sexual assault run rampant. There's always someone whose work deserves more public scrutiny than they get, and who takes advantage of the fact that they aren't in the spotlight.

as a caps fan I am obviously very sad for Hagelin, but I mean watching him last year Im not sure it is too much of a loss. Hope he recovers of course but I dont think it affects the team too too much

I was blown away at some of the statements by provincial hockey groups such as Hockey NB and Hockey NL. Especially in Hockey NL's case where their initial statement did not even mention Hockey Canada by name. Such a bad look. I hope the Federal Government doesn't stop at Hockey Canada and continues the investigation all the way down the line.
Thank goodness the hockey Canada board stepped down! Now nothing can change but at least we won’t have to hear about it.

NHL plays too many games; a fast paced game like hockey should cut the season to 76 games so top players don't get hurt as much and thus quality of play increase and also so the season can finish by June. And with all the free gambling and AD revenue no reason why they can't do this.

This is the most ridiculous scandal ever. We are condemning 16-19 year olds for a societal issue, look around this happened everywhere, politics, university, colleges, high schools, other sports, businesses but we have chosen to pick on young peoples hockey.
Aside from the sexual assault cases, I really wonder what other corrupt activities HC has been involved in. Seems like an old boys club and I've always wondered why so many Ontario and Quebec players were chosen for Team Canada teams over BC and Alberta players.
