Lightning are just the better, faster, motivational, more experienced team. The Panthers did not play like it was anywhere near a playoff game, and there was no drive. I would be surprised if this series even goes past five games at this rate. Unfortunately I see Tampa winning in 5 with all regulation wins. The one win we get may be in overtime.

I think Tampa is playing a lot harder to make up for point not being there. Florida penalty kill is really bad and if they don't fix it, it will cost them this series. Vasy is on fire and bob looks pedestrian. It's 1 game but what would worry me the most if I was a Florida fan is the fact that tampa changed the momentum half way through the 2nd. Remember in game 1 of Round 1… Weegar's delay of game penalty lead to the 5on3 PP that the Caps scored on.. he's an absolute liability. Hopefully Stu rips into his bum a$$ today

There’s still time. It’s only Game 1….. but we need to fix this within 24 hours. 3 out of the Bolts 4 goals coming off of the Power Play is unacceptable and embarrassing that the Panthers with a blitzkrieg offense can only work 5 v 5 and not capitalize on their own Power Play. Duclair scoring was encouraging considering how quiet he was in the Capitals series. I hate the fact the series started off just like the Caps series, but hopefully we still come out on top. Again, this is very alarming, but it’s still Game 1. As long as we can respond swiftly in Game 2 we’ll be fine.

At least we didn’t have a heartbreaking loss. I’d rather lose 4-1 (really 2-1) and clearly know what’s wrong. Powerplay, and stay out of the fuckin box. Simple.

As a Leafs fan I think that the Tampa Bay Lightning have the best coaching staff in the league (maybe in pro sports in North America right now). I hope Florida can win a cup for Giroux, but I think at this point it might be between Colorado and Tampa. Tampa will have a bad night and lose no momentum, their players also seem like they already know they are going to finals, which can’t hurt morale. I thought that they would be tough but tired, but the more I look at them, the more they seem like the same team that won back to back.
It was clear why they lost this game. You can't give the Lightning six power plays, allow them to score on three of them, and expect to win. Our power play absolutely needs to be addressed because they are not going to win this series without learning how to break the streak. Guys like Huberdeau and Barkov need to be the leaders and step up like this is do or die. I'd say Game 2 is a must-win because there I absolutely can't see winning 4 of 5 with three of those in Tampa.
This recap was dead-on accurate. Sometimes I think you and Stu should coach the team. We all feel your frustration. This was inexcusable to play flat for half of the game and take careless penalties.

We don’t have players with balls( Huberdeau, Barkov), let alone heart, they should be embarrassed that they are the so called stars of the team. Brunette must of had too many concussions as a player because he’s a fucking dumbass going with the same PP set up 0-21 in the playoffs. Lastly they should be even more embarrassed that their performance emptied the arena before the game was over.
We're very lucky to have won against Washington. Idk what it's gonna take for brunette to realize the problems with this team, but I just hope he realizes before we're eliminated
