Ok I have already started to hear all the crying about the refs from Avs fans. I quoted you Coach….98% of what happens on the ice is up to the players. How many chances did the Avs have to bury goals, especially MacKinnon through the five hole on Vasy and missed the net. Avs fans if you want to blame anyone blame him or about 10 other players that had 60 minutes to get a goal but didn’t. It drives me crazy to hear people blaming refs when you lose. That’s what losers do but I guarantee the Avs players weren’t blaming the refs. They may have been mad but they will man up and be ready for game 6. Oh but the Bolts have the t-shirt from this show already. I would put money on a game 7….unless the Avs prove me wrong. As always great job Coach D, love the videos.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. The Lightning were "outplayed" by Toronto. Then they were "outplayed" by the Rangers. If you're a Lightning fan, you know they're ALWAYS out-shot. Ho-hum. Nothing new here. Yet somehow, some way…the Bolts just win.
Referee calls or non-calls don't cost a team the game. You have PLENTY of chances to win despite the call. Blaming the refs are LOSER EXCUSES.
Curious what your thoughts are on the final 2 games. Do you really think it’s feasible the Bolts pull off the unthinkable or does Colorado hoist the cup?
Tampa fans have seen what it takes to beat Vasy for years. Real fans aren’t complaining about lucky bounces. We’ve seen it, we know. If the bolts allow shots to happen and get through, some will go in.

It sounds like your sick of talking about this Game 4 OT game winner but I was wondering how you think its ok that Nzem Kadri went over the boards to replace Nathan Mckinnon while mckinnon was still is 55-60 feet away, well on the other side of center ice? The rule very clearly says players should be 5 feet from the bench when the other player goes over to replace, and i do understand how once its done cooper should not have not make a big dramatic statement like that. There’s a youtube channel that always covers controversial calls and hits etc and I agree with their take on it.

Here is the video showing Nathan Mckinnon way way far out as Nazem Kadri goes up for the cherry picking. I mean its one thing to saythat the refs are human and the past is the past, and another thing entirely to say this is A-OK to have players jump overthe boards while the player they are replacing is still ten times further away than the rulea state they should be for them to go in as a replacment. To use your terminology that sounds like “buying ice” except its a freebie if youre pushing the envelope of the rules to such an extreme like that and in broad daylight per se? I think the refs made some extra calls for the Ligtning in game 5 to help compensate for their human error of missing that call that allowed for such a beauty of a cherry pick stretch pass breakaway goal like in OT of game 4. I mean lime chamges like that sloppy cant be the new standard can they? I can see not because in game 5 they didnt allow the crazy silly line changes so that was good anyway. I say let the past be the past and all that and its good how the NHL always tries to makeup for bad calls in some way and I dont think they should even issue an apology for these things because as the rules sit its referees whom have a lot of leeway and get to make judgements and that is ok and human error can be a facor of course. HoweverI wish experts explained line changes and how sloppy is too sloppy and maybe also the NHL could review playoff OT goals by default I think that would be ok in the future.

The too many men thing. I was a bit sad after game 4, and went to bed. I didnt find out about the 'controversy' until the next morning. I watched a video of Cooper saying that he wasnt worried about it any more and how he was emotional after the game. For me, it ended there. If Coop is ok with it, who am I to argue? It's playoff hockey. It's emotional, violent, and beautiful.
Cale Makar. He is just so damn good, it's frustrating. He's going to be fun to watch develop. It would be so much more fun to watch him evolve in Tampa.

With Bolts I’ve seen their close out games when we all know it’s over (3-0,3-1) against the Islander twice, Dallas, and the Canadians , panthers and lose. Next game they finished the job and closed it out. Game 4 are hard to win. Think Avs will finish it in game 6. I am sure most Avs fan if they are told you will win the cup either way, they would want it home if guaranteed, but without that you take it now. Bolts game plan, to me, worked the best in game 5. They will have to mirror that with the scoring of game 3 to win.
Before the game 5 Cooper said "I am having a blast" and his team played with that same attitude. Far less exhausted huffing and puffing on the Lightning bench so altitude less a factor. The officiating is always a frustration in the finals in all sports and rightly so. Refs trying to let the players settle the game. Never the less it is frustrating to watch muggings and then too many men calls – no comparison on the injury and anger inflicted. Avs a great speedy team to watch. Bolts had 5 players defending in the blue in the 3rd at one moment just before they scored the winner. Thought that was a notable moment you should break down.
Avs fan, one thing that Tampa is doing very very well is taking MacKinnon out of the equation as much as possible. As soon as he gets the puck he’s smothered. A lot of people think he’s going to have a break out game but I wouldn’t count on them letting off the Dogg any time soon
You need to reread the rules on the 5 ft rule. That is only if the player coming in doesn't play the puck… Kadri played the puck before Mackinnon got to the bench.
Yeah I spent $280 for game 1 of the Edmenton series for upper bowl and that was definitely the most I'd spend on a ticket haha
In 2019 the Bolts power play was 45% or so heading into the finals against Dallas! They need their power play to win this series. Bolts in 7! This game will be a blowout by Bolts and game 7 8s a 2 to 1 or 2 to 0 in Bolts favor! Vasy for the win!
