Maybe because the Sens were god awful that year and it could only be done on them?
So much complaining about the power play and not enough attention being drawn to the non-existent transition game this team has. If your D can’t move the puck through the neutral zone then you’re not going to generate meaningful control of the 5-on-5 game. Saw it when the oilers woke up in the opener and saw it all day long with the flyers.
That amazing set play that Edmonton pulled against us, the bumper play with the fake out, then shot from the right. We should be looking at set plays like that. We have Brock and Bo who are great in the bumper spot, Petey one timer is lethal and we have players like Garland and Hughes with amazing pick control.
We need to stop with this static pass it back and forth shit.
