  1. Cmon guys. Oilers billionaire Owner Daryl Katz has only been able to double his net worth in the last 5 years through his ownership of the team. Gotta pump those up to 400%.

  2. I just did the math and student would have to work 3 hours and 45 minutes to pay for that cheeseburger “combo” in Ontario.

  3. I don't know what cinema food prices are in Edmonton. I do know I do not pay that much for combos at the cinema. Popcorn combo includes drink, candy, & a free rental digital download. Yes, in HD. Hot dog combo (nachos, drink) price at the cinema is closest to the beer & hotdog combo at the rink. The cinema drinks are Coca-Cola branded drinks.

  4. my son lives in montreal and watched the raptors game last night and paid $30 for 2 cans of beer. he was actually good to drive home after the game.

  5. Hockey doesn't live in a bubble (anymore literally). Inflation is hitting hard rn. It's costing farmers more rn to tend to their livestock. Higher diesel prices. Making that burger and sending gets passed down to u in price.

  6. You also forgot to mention that that there is no Provincial Sales Tax in Alberta, so if these prices are Tax Included it is even a bigger gouge of the Oiler Fans.

  7. Streaming somehow became worse than cable. It incentivized breaking everything into smaller and smaller chunks at far higher prices. The only innovation that exists nowadays is creating outrage with ridiculous prices/pricing structures that the public anchors themselves to….and then companies "capitulate" by lowering their prices to what they were probably planning on charging in the first place.

  8. Honestly from what I have heard about how money grubbing this team has been I am worried they might loose a hell of a lot of fans because of it. You can’t price people out of supporting you.

  9. That’s why at the local Canucks games, I just go to the Costco next to Rogers arena and get two hotdogs with drink for $3

  10. Ok on the subscriptions front. I live in the uk and I would happily pay $9 a month to be able to have everything on demand, the games and some cool stats and information shows and stuff. I would pay that. I wouldn’t if I lived in the same time zone though.

  11. Eating at a hockey game is dumb!! Ppl fast for 16 hours a day and you cant hold out for a few hours?! That is called darwinism. You deserve to be ripped off

  12. Now do this again but add in how much the tickets to an Oilers game costs a night. The people that run that team are actually insane or just snorting coke every night they have to make these decisions. Also literally no arena has a menu on their site of whats offered and what prices are, because if the general public saw how outrageous food prices are at arenas they be more inclined to just eat outside the arena (which is valid af considering most restaurants would fail if they gouged the f out of their customers.

  13. Claim to be diabetic and bring all the food and drink you want. Your fault for not knowing that you would get hungry and thirsty sitting around watching sportsball all day.

  14. I applaud you for making this video. I've been waiting for this for about 15 years.
Edmonton's concession prices are the worst.

  15. Chicago Cubs games and postgame broadcasts are broadcast on the Marquee Sports Network, which is only available in Chicago, or on DirecTV or online via their website. Next season they are opening up a streaming service…just like Oilers+.

  16. This whole sports gambling is getting really annoying…the poor bugger with a problem doesn’t stand a chance, and all for a greedy government. It’s a sick society out there folks, quite sick

  17. Climate Pledge Arena has ridiculous beverage prices. A can of domestic beer is 13$. A CAN, not a pint, a 12oz can of Bud light!!!!

  18. They didn't even mention they are charging 5.50 for each of those bags of lays with the burgers….. That's insane.

  19. Man. The food isn't even that quality. Its literally robbery at this point. These sport venues need to cut ALL prices to EVERYTHING in HALF.

  20. I have been to Ball Arena (Avalanche) as a season ticket holder. I have never eaten their, because you have no idea when they have cooked those hamburgers ($12.00) hot dogs or even popcorn. I once saw a guy eat an entire bucket of popcorn full of butter in 20 minutes. I have learned eat before I go. A Pepsi in their Ball Arena aluminum cup is $7.00. Even a box of M&M's $6.50. Same as you get from the Dollar Store. Avalanche jerseys at the team store are Adidas $255.00) , I just purchased a Nichushkin one.

  21. what i hate about the prices is that it really makes the Oilers no money in the big picture. How much are the making per year on this? Few million? Peanuts. The funny thing is I would LOVE to see a team rollback prices to a NORMAL amount ($3 for a hotdog, $5 for a beer, $2 for a soda) and i bet they make more money because people would actually buy it. I dont buy anything at a game these days.

  22. I have experienced the Rogers Place concession first hand, it's rough. However, there are some very good restaurants within walking distance of Rogers Place to have supper at before gametime.

  23. Geez I thought Scotia and Coca Cola were bad… I was at Coca for AEW and it was forty bucks for two beers. Luckily they were basically king cans

  24. Sadly, they have to pay Connor’s salary and the beer flu pand emic has given a major financial blow to all NHL teams. It’s the sad reality of capitalism. At the end nothing will change and it will still be the pour paying so the rich can keep their lifestyles. 💵💵💵
