LA usually draws a lot of opposition fans to their games. This game was significant for the absence of Panther fans. So many season ticket holders, who know the Kings aren't going anywhere, couldn't sell their prime seats even at big discounts – and not even to Panther fans. Too bad – the Panthers made the Kings look good.
I remember watching video of 2017 NHL prospects and being seriously impressed with Vilardi, was REALLY hoping the Rangers grabbed him at 7 (instead taking defensive liability, undersized and building head case Andersson). Size, poise with the puck, insane vision, smooth finish. My son has mocked me for nearly three years "where's Vilardi, I thought he was great dad?" Thank you Gabe for a SWEET DAY OF REVENGE!! Wishing this kid a long successful career. If Glenn Sather were still around I could look forward to you playing in NY in 15 years . . .
