  1. Well I think you are a little critical with the games played like what amount of games would check off your list lmao

  2. Campbell is a solid bet but there are some questions. He's relatively young, has some experience as a #1, and will be hungry to prove himself. The tandem could be a really good 60-40 split with Skinner over the season. Skinner will get experience, while Campbell has some proven experience, and has shown he can get astonishingly hot (he was a wall in Nov 2021). I'm astonished that the TMF let him go for Murray. If the Oilers get him for 5×5, that will be a 30 to 35 year old Goal Tender that would be in his prime. If he performs in the 9.12 to 9.16 range that would be solid, and anything north of 9.16 will make $5M look like a steal! He's got heart. However, he seems to be less sharp on the really close in shots, while he is proven to be able to do well with the mid range shots in the slot. I'll be curious to see if the Oiler's Goalie Coach can work on Soupy's ability to make the "second save." In short, this could look like a genius move in a couple of years. It's a well-informed bet.

  3. I wish we'd take a run at chychrun now. next year's 1st, broberg, and Jp? probably need more?

  4. Well at least we can agree that Campbell and Skinner would look a much better duo than smith/Koskinnen

  5. Don't sign Campbell. Wait until next year. Who knows, maybe the Oilers can pull a good backup out of a hat and Skinner might develop into a starter. Don't eat up cap space so soon. Edmonton will not be vying for the Stanley Cup bext year – they're not good enough. They have to get enough scoring with McDavid and Draisaitle on the bench AND to win when those guys are being held off the scoresheet.

  6. I had a disquieting thought. What if Toronto trades Matt Murray and resigns Jack Campbell? Isn't that kind of a recipe for we doggie styled without lube AGAIN? Maybe it's just me and the history of not signing people we think we have locked up when it comes to goalies but maybe I'll just hold on until the contract is signed and registered (and I'll try to find some, ah, liquid encouragement to overcome my depressing thoughts).

  7. Desperately need a third line defensive Centerman. A Mactavish type, great face offs, can shutdown top Centerman.

  8. Lets see dylan strome, sam steel, mason marchment. Should be good we have 21.5 mil in cap space

  9. Honestly why sign kane to a 7 mill like he wants when you can get any of those 2 forwards (strome too) for 7 mill combined. Also if holland can trade barrie for a left d or flip him and replenish some future picks. I think his off-season would be a home ru

  10. Pick up Zadorov for sure. He'd be good to play beside Broberg I'd bet. Big solid and mean, can defend pretty ok. And he can cover some of Brobergs mistakes as he develops.
