I’ve started working on my first audio module! I’ve always looked at electronics and software development as some kind of dark magic, but having started uni, it’s slowly becoming democratized information. Education is so damn nice.

First step is making some sort of DSP-platform since that is reusable and needed to make some of the crazier stuff that is hard or downright impossible to replicate in analog (karplus-strong, some weird delays and reverbs etc). I’m thinking about building around a MCU like the STM32 because I’m comfortable with that dev-environment. I don’t really dare taking the step towards like a Blackfin processor or something yet.

The oscillators, envelope generators, power stuff and some others will be made entirely analog, which I’m super excited for as well!

  2. Will there be a spreadsheet for updated light the lamp results?

We’ve been in drought here in South Central Texas for the past two years, but overnight it began to rain. Still raining now and expected to all day long. So far we’ve gotten nearly a half inch of slow, steady rain. It’s soaking into the aquifer and filling it up. Our rain barrels are now full and I expect our garden plants are enjoying a good soaking. The Spartans won this weekend, Lions didn’t lose and Red Wings won twice. The Padres beat the Dodgers in the playoffs. Life is good. LGRW.
