If Canada is the coordinator still by tomorrow afternoon they should fire Tomlin. Forget the win. Forget the great Defense. This offensive play calling is an embarrassment to the Steelers organization. Not an NFL coordinator. If the head coach can't see this. He needs to go. The defense gave this offense plenty of opportunity to put this game away. One touchdown pass from a wide receiver in 24 quarters

Such a great change of pace for the STEELERS. I still would like to know why in a 3rd & 8 the play call is a 5 yrd pass or behind the line of scrimmage play.

I told everyone to stop hating on claypool. We're only human and we can't be great everyday. He was great today. Let's give appreciation and not as much criticism.
He finally played like he really had to be good. He willed himself to redeem his performance. I don't think this is a reason to not have picket as our full time QB. We just never know if Mitch really won the game. He did but he came in with a lead and confidence, finally.!!?!

They won this game in spite of Matt Canada. The defense gave up only 18 points and the game was still in doubt.
Brady got exposed by the Rams in last year's playoffs. I thought they could win with pressure. Just imagine if Harris could get yards after contact like Chubb. The laser needs to be put on his chest now.

Canada is worse than Haley.
The dee held up despite key injuries. The 50+ yard Boswell field goal was epic. The receivers avoided needless drops. We converted critical 3rd downs, which have been lacking. Trubisky was clutch after Pickett’s injury. The O-Line gave us opportunities to run the ball to keep Brady from getting the ball back late in the 4th quarter Great team win!
You are so right. Tomlin did just hand them those 3 points. I was in awe at that. Should have eaten the clock.
Najee said this week that he'd been playing with a metal plate in his cleat but took it out this week and I think that despite his low numbers he looked better. And Devin Bush looked a little more like his old self too (we're pretty close to the pivotal 2nd anniversary of his ACL). So much for all the talk about draft busts we've been hearing from the more panicky fans. No, we're not making a playoff run this season but look at the pieces they're putting together.
Matt, at the end of the first half I'm not sure what you'd like Mike Tomlin to do differently. On 1st down they had a couple shallow crossers open but the O line let rushers through and Pickett has to throw it away. The next two plays are runs for no gain; then they punt. Are you saying that all three plays should've been runs for no gain? Should they have just come out and kneeled on it?
Also, not to defend Tom Brady but the wedding was Friday and also how much fu**ing practice does the 23 year veteran and supposed GOAT need??
Sure, Trubisky did alright today, but that’s the problem with him; he’s inconsistent. 🤷♀️ He CAN play well, but he doesn’t always, and I still think Kenny will be more consistent. It’s pretty much the same story with the whole team. Claypool and Johnson CAN catch, and Naj CAN run, and the D CAN bring pressure, but they DON’T do it consistently.
Steelers have two wins on the season and Mitch was the key factor in both.
I liked the win, I'll give the Steelers that. However. That was a team effort that in my opinion had little to do with Matt Canada. His playcalling still suffered from lack of progression.
Why do l say this?
If the defense was not getting the stops on 3rd downs. Our offense would not of won the game. The run game is the point of reference in the offense. Najee, tried. But….in this offense the run game is not set up. It's too predictable to say the least. The way the 4th Qtr was played is how the Steelers should play from start to finish. Again. I've said it before, put one of our FBs in the lead block position. The singleback formation isn't working…..at all. Matt needs to be more versatile in his playcalling. Again, I love the win, they needed it. But there is still so much work to be done. The DBs are always on the backs of the recievers. Always comeback routes or short post routes. That needs to change. We have to force defenses to open up. We play too many tight formations. We need to spread defenses. Hats on hats on the line if you're going to run single back formations. I'm not a fan of Matt, never was, never will be. These college influenced plays and formations are not working for the Steelers. Lastly, let's just enjoy this victory. Because I believe we may not see many in this season. Canada has to go.
except for Minka, there defensive backs are interchangeable. mitch is a backup QB and he did backup qb stuff.
