I’m in the building so still not quite understanding that glove pass that was clearly dropped straight down, but that Jarnkrok penalty was borderline Chychrun non-call in overtime bad.

  2. iwasomla

That clearing attempt by Holl on the game winning goal was fucking disgraceful. That’s scared, minor-midget level of hockey.

I’m still livid over that shit.

  3. Gear4Vegito

    2-2-0 vs. MTL/WSH/OTT/PHX is suboptimal.

  4. StaticR0ute

They definitely didn’t deserve to win that one, but come on, that no goal review/call was BULLSHIT.

  5. DeathEater91

Bullshit call aside, we deserved to lose that game.

  6. NewTdotleafs

Alright so what in the actual fuck did i just watch

    > A player shall be permitted to stop or “bat” a puck in the air with his open hand, or push it along the ice with his hand, and the play shall not be stopped unless, in the opinion of the Referee, he has **deliberately directed** the puck to a teammate in any zone other than the defending zone, in which case the play shall be stopped and a face-off conducted

  8. Nighthawk6996

Can’t even feel good about a goal anymore. Have to wait until the pick is dropped and they can’t take it back

  9. Gear4Vegito

Our offence so far has been pretty much just Nylander/Tavares.

Fuck this league tbh. I don’t understand how you can make a hand pass while being speared in the palm.

  11. Leafs game plan against bad teams since 2018:

    * Step 1: Dominate early but don’t score.
    * Step 2: Go down a goal or two and go completely flat.
    * Step 3: Witness the second coming of Christ and go absolutely full throttle in the final 10 minutes of the game.
    * Step 4: Cut the deficit to 1 goal or even tie the game to get the Leafs’ fans hopes back up a bit.
    * Step 5: Pull the goalie but run out of time to complete the comeback.

Y’know what? I really don’t love the way the officials enforce some calls against us sometimes.
    Yeah, I said it.

  13. I think Steve Dangle might have a coronary

  14. ISimplyDontBeliveYou

Refs suck. Leafs sucked most of the game but the refs really sucked

  15. runwn201

justin holl will be the downfall of this team

  16. ComputerSaysnooooo

Did we just get fucked on live tv

  17. Ducey1984

I need a break from hockey already.

  18. gerryhallcomedy

I dunno…maybe don’t be lazy bitches for the first two periods of every game?

  19. Volderon90

Arizona: I get by with a little help from my friends…

  20. Cartz1337

I’m not usually one to overreact, but Holl needs some time in the press box, he was directly involved with all 3 goals against tonight.

  21. asdf-7644

If you wondered whether the team and coaching staff grew and are ready to take it to the next level then tonight should answer that question.

This is the same team with the same problems as previous years. I’m sad about that.

  22. Gordon-Leadfoot

Yeaaahh… I think I’m done watching the NHL for the year.

  23. Deluxechin

all the people blaming the refs really don’t have a foot to stand on here, if the Leafs played like they did in the last 5 minutes of this game, for the full 60 minutes, this game wouldn’t have even been an issue, the fact the game was 2-0 with the Leafs not registering a shot on 4 powerplays is the reason we lost this game

  24. runwn201

shouldn’t even have been this close with arizona lol

  25. TonysMustache

Two direct goals against because their two worst defenceman cannot stop treating a hockey puck like a hand grenade

  26. Neon-Knees

I’ve literally never seen a hand pass get reviewed like that… Let alone one where the stick was clearly in the guys hand when it made contact.

What the fuck was that lmao

  27. Shooternow

How about that Marner wave to the crowd? Everyone blaming the refs is delusional if you think we deserved to win this game. I’m actually happy we lost, winning only hides the horrible performance of this team. I think Keefe is in real danger of getting fired and I’m ok with that. Barry Trotz is someone this organization should be begging for.

  28. NeueJack

They didn’t deserve to win but the refs shouldn’t be able to be the judge of if that happens or not.

  29. VandyMatt77

That was the worst call I’ve ever seen. But let’s not forget the bigger issue here. This team should never have been in that position in the first place. Disgraceful game tonight. Should be very eye opening. Go leafs

  30. Neighbourhoods_1

How can anyone have sat there, watched the entirety of that « hockey » game, and come away mad at the refs more than the players?

  31. MsAbsoluteAngel

Imagine gambling your career on a Matt Murray resurgence lmao
