Shut out would have been great for Veggie but that was an interesting ending to say the least.

What a roller coaster but that’s a win, my friends!

Leaf fans are so mad in the other thread. Do they deserve to be probably but on the other hand screw Toronto

FUCK THE LEAFS AHAHAHAHA

Last years team would have folded when it went to 2-2. Just something different about how this team scraps.

Totally awful call, but I love it. Thought McBain had a good one, he’s so damn chippy.

Probably a bad call but like, if we’re as big of a poverty franchise as people in Ontario claim then they should have no problems beating us even with a disallowed goal, right???

My half baked take. The Leafs, while technically excellent as a team and as individual players, lack that extra passion and edge that can be *the* game changer. Both the Yotes tonight and the Habs at their home opener were hungry to beat the Leafs, and that hunger and passion pushed them to be the better team for much of the game. The Yotes outplayed the Leafs tonight, especially in the second. Wobble toward the end, but they were in position to win because of that better, hungry, passionate play early on.
