Way to fight back. Hopefully a comeback win will get things on track

  2. doppleganger2621

They said it couldn’t be done.

They said we couldn’t turn it around.

    79-3-0 sounds mighty nice

  3. Lost_For_Life

Definitely the best game of the season even with a crappy start. Hopefully the second and third period become the standard now! Great first win!

  4. theworstghost

Fuck the haters. This is CBJ hockey.

  5. ddottay

    1. Johnny completely took over that 3rd period and overtime. He’s worth the money folks.

    2. Blankenburg might be good, might not be. But what a breath of fresh air he was tonight!

    3. There’s a lot I want to nitpick on but I’m just gonna celebrate the first win of the season.

  6. utpyro34

We may have lost 3 to start but at least we haven’t blown 4 multi goal leads in 4 straight games

  7. ericgray813

Need a reply of that gaudreau goal

  8. Give Johnny a Nobel Peace Prize for that third goal. Unreal, world-class effort from him.

Blanks was incredible. A catalyst to the entire effort we saw from early period two and on.

Give a shout-out to Elvis for standing on his head, too. He made critical saves when he needed to, can’t ask for much more.

Even if we don’t compete for the playoffs Johnny is so fun to watch man. Can’t wait until patty is back

  10. NontransferableApe

Fire jarmo fire john davidson fire larsen.

We don’t work in small sample sizes around here we are completely over reactionary!

  11. 17greeksoty

    Glad we won.

We need to build on this and eliminate the mistakes that are still very clearly present…

Happy to no longer be an o-fer

  12. iamelloyello

    Good game.

There are too many fundamental issues going on. The one win doesn’t hide that.

  13. JunesDepartmentStore

Can confirm: winning, NOT losing, is the preferred outcome

  14. macawkerts

I just wanted to welcome everyone back from the edge. Talk to your doctors about some xanax or something.

  15. Idiodyssey87

Still can’t believe we snagged Johnny Hockey! Hold me, bros!

  16. TrailNickK

If we learned anything tonight it’s that Blanks should have been on the opening night roster. But, he’s here now so LET’S GO!!!

  17. junk-trunk

Chinny and Vladdy-Daddy!! I accept this.

  18. caffeinated_skeleton

We won in the Cannon jerseys… you know what that means? Time to make them our primaries!

  19. nateorz

This win sponsored in part by Johnny Hockey and Nick Blankenburg.

  20. ClipClump

Everyone bitching about Guddy’s contract and he looked about twice as valuable as Zach despite the goal tonight lmao.

Great fucking win, though. Coming back from a 0-2 1st to manhandle most of the other 2. That’s what the fuck we like to see. Keep that fire lit.

  21. slowclapcitizenkane

    We’re 27th! We’re 27th!

  22. spencetw

Bro that was an exciting game. Johnny is a beast and blanks needs to be in the top 4. LFG. I haven’t seen somebody in a jackets uniform command OT like Johnny since bread.

  23. rpgFANATIC

That’s a dramatic way to get your first W

  24. coolest_username

Turns out Johnny is really good

  25. Smashcanssipdraught

What I was happy to see was a pretty packed arena given the 0-3 start. We’ve gotten so much better about attendance over the past few seasons

  26. thecbjfan

I’m ok with 7 years of Johnny 🙂

  27. Happy with the win finally, but not playing KJ through close to an entire OT period is not great coaching. Granted Gavy scored the goal, the fact he was out there at all and KJ wasn’t is just insane.

  28. Bassdropper_

I’m not sure who needs to permanently sit, but Blankenberg should never be out of the lineup.

  29. Eddo-The-Elephant

Chinny looked good as the game progressed. That no look pass to Gavvy was cold 🥶

  30. Big_Green_Piccolo

I like OT except when I hate it

  31. Say what you want but Blanks deserve the honorary star. He made a major mistake yes but he was throwing that body around and took a …tactical penalty…at a critical point in the game. Those are penalties you take because that’s a goal otherwise

  32. 43goalie

16 minutes of ice time is right about right for Gudbranson. He played strong in the third.

    Free Kent Johnson

And let’s go ahead and pull Olivier out. Don’t care if it’s Foudy or Marchenko going in, 24 just brings nothing. Put 17-7-50 back together. They were so good last year.

  33. hockey17jp

We won in spite of Brad Larsen. I have never seen coaching malpractice like I’ve seen tonight.

Running the 4th line after every goal for. Refusing to play KJ and Chinny even while they’re showing signs of offensive prowess.

There is absolutely no way this team can win more than 20 games playing the 4th line as much as it does.

Coaching malpractice on almost the same level as the Browns somehow.
