I don't think it was done on purpose.
I think he was going to back out of the hit but there wasn't enough time and having his body weight leaning on one edge it makes it hard to bring that leg back in…just in case there's people who haven't ever played hockey and experienced that or don't know anything about ice skating.
It's almost impossible to tranfer momentum at that speed on a edge.
I even seen the rat do this with no intention of a knee to knee and I hate that dude.
Any skating coach knows exactly what happened here but either way it's a penalty in today's game.

I don't like Tkachuk, but the comment section is not it. What was he supposed to do there for people to be happy? He's not going to fight anyone on Boston when they should've got a 5-on-3 powerplay there. If he's going to fight anyone it would be Nosek and people would be bitching about that. He didn't turtle. He had 4 guys going after him for a pretty minimal reaction to a dirty hit. Just seems like a lot of blind complaining to me
