Okay… show me one workplace that isn’t cliquey. That’s just human nature and not Canucks specific.

  2. NerdPunch

About 2/3 of the roster is either 1st or 2nd year players. Almost none of the players came through the development system.

It’s fair to suggest this team may not be a closely knit as a lot of other teams in the league.

Country club assessment that Rutherford made last year is pretty accurate. I know I have Petey in my username and saying anything negative about him is forbidden here but his swagger on social media and in Canucks bts on YouTube, he seems to have an attitude. Not sure but that could be a factor that’s being speculated. We are not in the locker room, but it’s something to consider for sure. Not saying trade Petey, of all players, but something is wrong in the locker room and they need to find a way to fix it.

Funny that it’s a Blackhawks TV analyst with inside knowledge of our dressing room now…Dickinson must have been really unhappy here to go to an insider right away with this information lol

It’s only a problem cause we are losing. Nazzy and Bert were the same

  6. Lock em in a room with a pound of weed and bag of mushrooms and we’ll have a much more cohesive team

  7. DJ_House_Red

I’m sick of hearing about this locker room stuff without anybody naming names

These rumors go back a couple years at this point.

It’s seemed there has always been a Miller vs Horvat thing going on.

Star players being promoted on social media?! The blasphemy! What a load of crap. Trade anyone who thinks that’s a problem, lol! We’re going to solve this clique problem by having everyone do weekly escape rooms together!

They’ll go on a 5 game win streak and everyone will start saying « you can see how well they get along, they look like they’re having fun out there as a group ».

Stupidity. Call me crazy but I am not panicking 4 games into the season. This core played great hockey with the same coach last year, they’ll do it again, just a matter of time. Hoping they get it together sooner than later, but this is just nonsensical noise.

There are dressing room rumours every 5 years. No one knows for sure. Yawn

  12. eexxiitt

Well that was quick and I don’t mind it, to be frank. Hopefully the spotlight creates change.

We shouldn’t be surprised though, holtby, Schmidt, both wanted out right away and didn’t have good things to say. Even garland said in his exit interview last year that he wasnt comfortable.

  13. hoopopotamus

They lost me pretty quick when they are criticizing the way they promote star players? That’s the point of star players. They’re the ones you market. Doesn’t every team do this?

  14. coleramsay

Whats with these locker room rumours? It happened last year too. Does this happen with other teams as well?

  15. longball_13

We our officially the Oilers pre Connor McDavid.

  16. These kinds of « news » only come out when the team is doing poorly. Just sounds like the same rumours from last season.

from the outside with no looking in, as I’m obviously not in the room, I’d wager that there are some strong opinions clashing. I feel like Garland and Miller lean one way (right), while Bo and Petey lean another (left). Now are these differences in beliefs causing the on-ice products to suffer? Who knows.

  18. Away_Adhesiveness938

Funny I remember Hansen touching on this on the team 650 radio show in the off season. Said they need to make sure this doesn’t happen. Who knows though.

  19. helixflush

I wonder if Garland had a bit of an attitude eruption which is what lead to him being the healthy scratch

  20. Only-Nature7410

Sensitive millennials. Have they not talked about their feelings yet??

If that’s the issue blow it all up as much as you guys don’t want to hear it. This won’t work.

  21. intelligentx5

We need to shake the team at it’s core. Sometimes it’s just a single move that sends a signal.

Trade Horvat. It’ll show not everyone is safe

  22. StickyGeco

I don’t know what it is with Seravalli, but it feels like the guy just LOVES breaking bad news about the Canucks. Anytime the team is struggling in any way you can be sure that he’ll be chiming in with « insider info. » Kind of reminds me of The Steve Dangle Podcast where they went out of their way to shit on the Canucks incessantly during the final weeks of the Green era, then completely stopped mentioning the team altogether when they started stringing together wins and making a run for the playoffs.

Fucking hell what is this place’s drama addiction? Its like this sub comprised entirely of high school girls “OMG Becky did you hear what BO said about MILLY???”
