Keefe should have let his comments stand. I have a feeling he's no longer having an effect in the room … The Leafs need to string together some wins….or Keefe "may" be on the hot seat. There will be plenty of applicants.
No more griping about ARZ or MTL games. They're over, let's move on and focus on Dallas and then the road trip.

What a beta move. I can't even imagine Scotty Bowman or any legit head coach apologising for saying something about his players. This is sad and embarrassing for the Maple Leafs, almost as shameful of the day when they called a press conference to apologise for Morgan Rielly saying the gay F-word.

Chychrun is JUST as injury prone already!!! He's already had several surgeries. Look his bio up. He's got talent for sure, but he most likely wouldn't play a full season ever here as well…. Coin flip.

Nylander, acquired before Dubas.
Rielly, acquired before Dubas.
Tavares, acquired by Dubas in free agency with bad contract.
If there's no difference between them and a tanking Arizona after removing the elite players then what exactly did Dubas do here? Everyone was here before him. The sad thing is that Keefe is right, the team is awful if you remove 5 players. Not a Cup contender. The sad thing is that these elite players have NEVER shown the ability to perform when it's crunch time like McDavid, Draisaitl, etc.
Remove Tampa's top 5 players and they still have Cirelli, Sergachaev, Killorn, Paul, Hagel, Cernak and their 4th line is better than every Coyotes line. This is not even considering that they recently lost Goodrow, Coleman, and Gourde. And they just lost McDonough and Palat.
This team is a mess. First round exit coming up again, but this is not shocking with Dubas at the helm.

This Muzzin thing is a WORK!!….Dub-ass is faking this "injury" so he can rest his most solid defence man for the entire season. Trust me, he'll make a miraculous recovery just prior to the playoffs.
Awwww!!…..The star millionaires had their feeling hurt! They had to give their coach a spanking! This is as candid a look at the inner workings…and what is sooo wrong with the Toronto Maple Leafs as you'll ever get….and yes, the "Inmates run the asylum" this is the proof….No NHL coach would EVER have done this. Keef sounds like the biggest wuss in the world, I can't believe he actually said that.
Nylander mailed in more than 40 games last season and Keefe was fine with it. He can't very well gripe about Marner and Matthews mailing in a couple at the beginning of the year.
with these words that have been spoken, the leafs have no interests in winning. They have high priced tickets and the best jersey sales. that's their main concern.
